Great quality
I totally love this Bugera PS1 Passive 100-Watt Power Attenuator. The quality is awesome. I just purchased a Mesa Badlander 100 watt tube head and it’s super loud. I love the amp but was looking for a way to play it loud enough to open my tubes. Everytime I get that sweet spot on my sound it was to loud for home practice. I thought I had made a $3k mistake. Then I found Bugera PS1 Passive 100-Watt Power Attenuator. This little guy saved the day. Now I can run my amp loud and my volume low. Thanks for this awesome device.

A must have for everyone else's sanity.
If you like to turn up your amplifier to get the great breakup sound and not blow out your windows, spouse, significant other or draw the wrath of your neighbors, you should have one of these. Totally passive so no power required.

Affordable power soak, output attenuator
Initially aimed to reduce the power to my guitar amp speaker. Doubly impressed by the line out that can feed the interface for recording. This is far better than a mic on the cabinet. Great work and engineering. Todd L Cape Coral, FL

Requires a bit of thought and research
Thatis the only downside of this beast. It's built to last and does a helluva job at taming the stage volume issues on tube amps. I can testify that this will work on hot rod Deville amps and help with the volume jump from 1 to 2. This unit goes between the power head and the speakers so if your tube amp has a clean and dirty channel it will work on either channel - unlike the cheaper models floating around that work on the fx channel onlyA couple things to consider - you'll need to wait till the tubes get hot before using otherwise you'll get random volume swells and drops.I've seen many YouTube videos claiming you can get tube breakup at bedroom volumes. This will depend on the watt rating of your amp. If it's 40 watts or less I think you may get the however my 60 watt HRDeville still is not at bedroom levels with this unit attached.I said earlier that there is a bit of research needed to correctly and safely hook this up. You will need to know the ohm rating of the sound coming out of the box and the ohm rating of the speakers AND how they are wired! Sometimes manuals aren't all that so it'll be worth your time to find this info. But guess what this is information that you should know anyway. You may need to lurk message boards and ask questions on reputable sites and for all that is holy avoid reddit. Most guitar and amp techs aren't hanging around there!

Awesome Value!
*First thing first* when using this attenuator with its volume at max, your amp volume output will be reduced by approximately 1/2.I use this to run my tube amp head straight into the PA, without a speaker cabinet.I also use it with my speaker cabinet for practice, so it's not blasting loud. I've never compared it to a RockRec or anything else (you can find plenty of videos on YouTube of comparisons). But for the price, I'm very happy with it's performance.

A Tom Scholtz dream. wonderful, you will need two speaker cables, not instrument cables.
12/14/23 update, Still love this thing. I have a hot rod deluxe, 40 watts. I have cranked the amp all the way up. I experience no heat problems even after hours. I’ve noticed a slight treble decrease but can compensate with the amp control. This thing emulates the growl you would get burying the volume on the amp. Caveat, you will not get full volume with the attenuator volume turned all the way up. If you end up needing it all you will have to disconnect it. There is no bypass.I had a cheap volume volumecontrol bridging the effects loop. It sounded ok but was lacking something. This is like the Boston group's Tom Scholtz power soak, It is the 6l6 power tubes that need to be pushed. This does that. I have a fender hot rod Benson model. It is 40 watts all tube. I push the volume on the amp to 8 and that drives the power tubes hot and gives that crunch with soak taking it down to where you can hear the pick on the strings. disclaimer here. I have nothing to do with the company or any distributor related this product I'm just an old man playing his guitar in his den that does not want the cops to be called. You must have one, 🧐You will likely require a male to female SPEAKER cable and a male to male cable. NOT MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CABLES. 🥵 instrument cables cannot handle the power and are like to fry something. Well, y’all know what I mean

Maybe I got a bad one....
I have a Two Notes Torpedo, which is nice, but it only had one level of attenuation. I wanted to be able to go lower. Saw the reviews on here, lots of 5 stars, so I got it.Now, keep in mind, I am used to hearing the sound of my amp, at "kind of" a lower volume. I plug this thing in, and yes, it makes the volume a lot lower, and it has knob where you can control the volume, but my screaming silver jubilee amp now sound like someone is holding a pillow in front of the speaker. With the Torpedo, there is ZERO tone loss. I sent it back.... Sure, it works, and it lowers the volume, but I want to hear my amp - not a muffled version of it.
