Works fine
These work fine in the oven. I tried a few recipes from the book and wasn't overly impressed with anything. I ended up making my own lemon-pepper chicken in these and it turned out great. Good for prepping meals the day/night before so you can just throw them in the oven when you get home.

Quality silicone, firmer than most silicone pans
We got our first set of these bake pans through the original crowd funding program, and a year later bought a second set here through Amazon. Although the pans aren't as rigid as initially promised, they are still much better than most other silicone bake pans. We actually use the largest pan as the cooking tray in our toaster oven. Easy to clean and doesn't smoke like some other brands.

Really Nice Silicone Cookware
For those who can afford them, this cookware set is a nice alternative to heavy and more fragile glass or ceramic and less forgiving metal cookware. We like the convenience of silicone and these pans are a step beyond silicone baking mats. That said, the sides often seem just a little too short. The lids are also silicone and can go right in the oven, which is great for reheating. The cost of the set is high.

Nice quality, doesn't brown food on the bottom, still need sheet pan to use one handed
I ordered this mainly to use in our RV for the multi functions: bake, store, compact and microwave. Both the bakeware and lids are pinch test passing, meaning they don't turn white when you fold them over and pinch them, signifying high quality food grade silicone. So far I've only made and reheated a handful of foods. - Brownies, while they stayed moist, I has to crank up the heat by 50 degrees to achieve some crunchy edges, but stayed soft on the bottom. - Meatballs, they cooked and browned on the tops as normal, but still never browned on the bottoms. - Biscuits, also cooked as normal but stayed soft almost dough like on the bottoms even after extending the bake time by 4 minutes. - Green beans, I added a little water in the bottom and they steamed perfectly with the vented lid and still had a nice crunch- Baked Garlic, these came out dried on the outer skin, but I should have not vented it so much, and should have checked them more frequently. You won't be able to see through the lids when steam is occurring. I thought they would be great to take leftovers to work, from the fridge to the microwave. Which they are, except the lids are not leak proof and don't claim to be, so you won't want anything that has any liquid in it if you might have this tilted and not perfectly flat when on the go. As far as not needing a sheet pan to move them from the oven, we'll that depends. Yes you can hold the large pan out one handed as shown in the video and it not bend over, but once you have the added weight of food in them, even the small one, you need 2 hands on their handles or for the small one you can use one hand but bend down the center of the handle to give it more support. So either use 2 hands or a sheet pan, still works the best, no matter how thick these are. As with all silicone bake ware you cannot use any sharp objects such as knives, or you will cut and gouge the pans. They are thicker than some other silicone bakeware I have, but not as sturdy as my 9" x 9" and 2-1/2" deep metal reinforced silicone coated pan I've had for 10 years. The cookbook has a full page photo of the recipe on one side, then full page recipe on the other. I like when thet do this. The recipes are specially adapted around using this Omnipan cookware and times and temps are adjusted accordingly, so maybe if I use their specific recipes and adjust them to my liking, I'll be able to crisp and brown the bottoms of foods. We'll see. While I like the non stick properties, compact no noise storage, and fit in my toaster oven, they are very shallow at 1.4" or just shy of 1-1/2" deep and are better for flat foods when wanting to use the lids. They have their place in a modern kitchen, but won't replace everything. They are a good size when cooking for 1-2 people.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

High price for small pans, but useful.
I love using silicone bakeware in the kitchen, and these pans seemed great to have for the included storage lids.As noted, these pans are small and shallow and I knew that when I picked them- I liked the thicker gauge of silicone in comparison to my old silicone pans, and I wanted smaller ones for heating leftovers. I like to use these pans for the ability for food to go from the hot pan, to the frige, and then into the toaster oven with the bare minimum of dishes. They're perfect for heating several different types of food in my toaster oven at once- not too tall (won't burn the surface of the food), and the smaller sized ones fit next to each other very well in my toaster oven. The lids aren't leak proof. For thicker sauces, or for portions of meats or sides this isn't as much of a problem, but for runnier foods it can be a problem, quickly. The lids come off easily and I don't see them being good for toting food in a lunchbox or an ice chest, unless plastic wrap or foil is secured around the pan and lid together.I haven't noticed a smell from these pans, either right from the package or from cooking at 350F in the toaster oven. I did not use lids when cooking in the oven, however. As far as a pinch test goes- they did not entirely pass. It's very hard to pinch the walls or rims of these thick pans and no white showed when I managed it, but the creases where the rims meet the walls of the pan is thin, and the creases turned white when I folded them back. These pans are easy to clean as any silicone- meaning that care must be taken to get all of the oil residue off. I use a baking soda/dish soap mix and a dish brush, and get deep into every corner or crease, as well as the body of the pans.Another thing I like about these pans is the stackability of them in the frige. Since these pans are thick and sturdy and don't warp easily, I can pile all of them on top of each other when they're filled with food, and they don't distort their shapes and spill. They also nest together well when empty, saving on storage space.I haven't tried the recipes from the cookbook yet- I only use physical cookbooks now when I can't find a recipe either in my saved files or online. It's nice to have and has beautiful images, but a lot of the recipes aren't to my tastes.I don't think I'd pay this much for silicone bakeware myself- but I have found these pans to be quite functional, despite their shortcomings.Chef Avenue Omnipan - Versatile Oven-Safe Silicone Cookware Set for Hands-Off Cooking - Mega Set & Cookbook Combo
