Works, But... read..
Works just fine as a way to send composite audio to an HDMI device.Latency, lots of latency, I'm not sure if it's caused by this device, the soundbar, or just my use case.I purchased this product to monitor sound from my Computers Audio interface. Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 into a TV Soundbar to play guitar. Well there is so much latency that the guitar is unplayable.I believe it is just do to the application at hand, and not the fault of this product. There is no latency from Interface to regular studio monitor.I gave it 5 stars because it does what it says, and is fine for regular video movie audio..

Setting the bar low for manufacturing quality... Missing solder on PCB. Fell apart.
Product worked great first time we used it. We picked up that old game system, put this adapter in the box, and stored it away for about 3 months. Took it back out and it wouldn't work.Tried troubleshooting w/ another system, other cables, another USB block to power the adapter, and that's when the mini-usb power connector on the board disconnected and started bouncing around on the inside of the case.Instead of simply buying another, or throwing it away, I decided to try and fix ... got out the work station and it was a simply act to pry the case apart. As mentioned above, the metal power adapter that the USB cable plugs into, was simply loose in the case. There was minimal solder in most holes on the PCB, and none at all in others. The 720/1080 switch was quite literally not soldered on one leg. Not sure it ever worked correctly.I was able to clean up the old solder and added some flux... I used the hot air to reflow the contacts from the PCB to the plug and actually got it working again. The picture quality is worse now than it was before so something likely got troubled w/ the hot air.Into the bin.

Item was OK
Nothing wrong with it other than it wasn't what I needed. I didn't realize there were 2 different types, ones that plugged in, and ones that were plugged in to. I needed the type to plug in and this wasn't it. I can't comment on performance because I wasn't able to use it.
