Well, I am older than middle age these days. Although I can enter the bed using the tailgate, or stepping on the tire, the step is so much easier and I have used it a lot to load up the truck while loading up and unloading the truck for a trip. It works great for me. I am using it on a 2024 power wagon and it fit perfectly with the existing holes. There is the wiring harness that you have to deal with, I rotated it slightly to get clearance, then cut off a piece of the foam that was in the box that the step came in and tie wrapped it around the step to provide a cushion between the step and the wiring. I make it a habit to face perpendicular to the direction the truck is facing when using the step because one reviewer said his broke, and if you are entering at 45 degrees your crotch will be right over the point of the tailgate. My step works and has not failed me but I always think about the possibities if things go wrong. I always support myself with both hands while using the step as well. I weigh between 210 and 220 usually- for reference. The price is very good for this step. I read one review that said the step fell off while driving, so I checked the tightness of the Allen bolts holding the hinge pins in when I installed it also. Everything was good. Very happy with my purchase, bought one for my son as well.

Love this step, this step was easy to install and works great, I will never own a truck without one, the price ws unbeatable, I highly recommend it.

I installed this step on my new 2023 RAM 2500. This step is nearly identical to the OEM step on my previous RAM 1500. Installation was easy with just four bolts total. It is easier to align the step, bracket, and bolt holes if you loosely install the bolts and then torque everything down at the end. To deploy the step just press down with your foot and a heavy duty spring keeps it down. To retract, just give the step a good push and the spring does all the work. I used the step on my half ton truck all the time and with a 2500 being higher off the ground, this step is a necessity for daily use. There are more expensive steps out there costing 2X, 3X, and even 4X more. Don't waste your money. This is not a cheap piece of junk so I give it a two thumbs up and recommend you give it a try.

I wish I would have ordered this a year ago! It only took 15 minutes to install and the step does NOT make contact with my bumper. I did have to twist the plug out of the way for the wire harness for the sensors but wasn't a big deal. I would imagine you need to do the same with the OEM step that is $400.00 as it looks identical. One reviewer recommended not to torque the bolts until everything is installed, I second that recommendation as the tolerances are tight. I will update my review if I have any issues

Excellent product, fast shipping. Great price, easy to install, I would have given it a5 star however some paint powder coating was rubbed off when it broke thru the packageing and the box during shipping. Bumper tread matcher perferctly.

Easy on, easy up! While it has not been “stress tested”, it was n easy installation with normal tools. I used the original bolts. It was ‘dynamic’ load tested with about 200 lbs.. no issues… no shaking. It’s well hidden.. hard to tell it’s there.

Fits like a glove, super easy to install. The 2500’s sit very tall and this step makes it so much easier to get in & out of the box. Nice quality, treads match the OEM treads on the bumper. Hopefully it lasts for the life of the truck. A+ 👍🏻

You do need a torque wrench to install it properly. The instructions were quite easy to follow even tho they are only diagrams. It is quite sturdy, drops down easily with your foot, and returns easily as well. Much needed to get into the back of the Ram 2500. I used to carry a 3 step stepladder to get in and out. No longer needed!

Easy install, small bolt snapped when tightening but still works. Will get stuck behind the cowl under the bumper if you have the sensors below the bumper 2019 Ram 3500 Limited
