I had remnants of freezer burn odor in the Drawer refrigerator freezer- (After I had already cleaned it out thoroughly with Vinegar, water, and essential oil Lemon mixture. ) Previously, I had been using baking soda to capture odor. After cleaning, I threw them out and added activated bamboo charcoal bags- They were doing the trick and got rid of 90% of the odor in the last month- each week I saw an improvement. I tried the ionizer that is battery operated and although I did see a positive result, in that it was very effective in the refrigerator, but had only a small effect in the freezer. I thought I would try this Deodorizer next - maybe it would be better. I put it in my freezer for about an hour - started to smell something funny in the air outside of the fridge - sort of like thin air when you go up in altitude. It started to feel a little harder to breathe activating my asthma. I then removed it and put it in an airtight bag. I will say that it most definitely did help in only that hour to remove freezer burn odor. For the 2nd time after the cleaning, I had changed the plastic bags in the freezer a few weeks ago - they had already developed some remaining light freezer burn odor. After the hour with this deodorizer, it was as gone! This thing removed it! It is also interesting to note that I had a light film of frost on my bags. My freezer is -6 and I suspect this is the result of gas conversion to carbon dioxide and water! It is awesome- I will keep it and use weekly when I leave the house for the day and remove it when I return. It is just too good!

I've been using the baking soda fridge box for my whole life. I bought a couple of these to try, one is freezer, one in the fridge. I can say it really works. No artificial scent. And it's small. I wasn't sure it would work. But it does. I had some leftover garlicy pizza - put it in the fridge and the nice morning expected to smell it. Nope. I was really surprised. I purchased a couple more for the garage fridge/freezer too. They are a bit overpriced. But. IF they work for 10+ years? Might be better with the price. We shall see. I have the stainless steel version. Small, so easy to place. I have found one works for the fridge and as I mentioned I put one in the freezer next to icemaker. So far so good! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. FACTS....The stainless steel look gives it a sleek look. It is some what weighted making it very stable once placed where you want it. It is easy to use because all you need to do is unbox it and place it wear needed.Opinions...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my lil stainless steel minion :) ....I had a "mystery smell " in my fridge (that after many failed attempts to identify) this handy dandy lil guy fixed in 24hrs or less.I purchased one & placed it on the top shelf and hoped this lil guy would finally be my answer.The next morning I discovered he INDEED WAS :) The "mystery smell" is gone and I am soooo very thankful! Everything is back to smelling and tasting like it should, while the fresh produce is back to smelling fresh 100% of the time :)Planning to order more to place in other parts of my home to help in those sometimes smelly areas :)Highly Recommend!!

I didn’t know if this was going to work well at all and I noticed a difference within hours!! My fridge always smelled kind of funky after a while and I would clean it regularly but it would still have ann odor after a while.Within hours that I put this in my fridge, all of the smells went completely away!! I was astonished. I am actually going to purchase a second one to use in the bathroom. I am so pleased!

Super happy with this odor eliminator. We used it for our fridge and by the next morning it was odor free. If this unit can really do 10 years, I think this is an incredible steal. The footprint of this is small. I put a picture of the shelf it is on, so you can see what to expect. It takes up about the footprint of a can of cola, but smaller in height. It's no maintenance. I took it out of the box, shook it a couple times (not required) and placed it in the fridge. That's as easy as it gets. The stainless steel look is timeless and looks better than plastic or cardboard. It also makes it durable, and I have no doubt that the casing will not break during it's expected lifetime. There is nothing to leak or worry about.Another great perk besides odor elimination is extending life on food. It's too early to tell, but it makes sense that if you get rid of bacteria, things should last longer. In that aspect, I suspect this will pay for itself. If I notice any lack of strength before it's expected life time is up, I will update this, but so far I am impressed. Great purchase.

The Purriko was very effective at eliminating all odors in my refrigerator. I purchased it and began using in January 2025, but now in early September 2025 it is losing its effectiveness and I will have to replace it---9 years and 3 months early!!! Yes, it will deodorize your frig but for months not 10 years!

This little guy works great! I will say that i have it in a smaller fridge, however. The best way I can describe the performance of it is with Chipotle! Their containers for their bowls seem to allow juices and odors to bleed into the cardboard-ish container when I have leftovers. Without this deoderizer, my entire fridge ends up smelling strongly of Chipotle. Not anymore!
