Braided Loaf, 6 Cup, Gold

I love this little loaf pan! It uses exactly half of my usual cake recipe batter, so the size is perfect if you have a small family, and it’s so easy to use. It’s especially nice if you don’t have a lot of time to wait for a full-size bundt cake to bake. Be sure to adjust your baking time down for this pan. I start with half of the time for the full-size bundt, then add however much time is needed at the end. The time varies according to what type of batter I’m using. I have another of these small bundt loaf pans in a different pattern, so I can make two small cakes with one batch of batter, or divide my recipe in half to make just one. I prep the pan with baking spray that contains both flour and oil just before adding the batter to the pan, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes after it comes out of the oven, and it turns out perfectly. It didn’t stick or break. I allow the pan to cool completely before washing it, and never ever put them in the dishwasher. They clean up easily with warm water and Dawn dish detergent. I’ve baked my cornbread bundt recipe in it twice now, and it came out perfectly baked and browned both times. My batter is thick, so I smoothed it down into the pan with a spatula before baking to get it into all of the grooves. The few little pock marks in the photo were my fault because I didn’t let my eggs and yogurt come to room temperature before mixing because I had a time deadline today. The cornbread still came out perfectly baked, and it tasted good.

Exquisite, and small, which is nice if you are a small household. Tip to those new to the world of baking with Bundt pans: (1) Use “goop” (google it) to ensure the cake will release. (2) DO NOT use an aerosol baking spray, EVER! It will ruin your pan (3) Follow NordicWare’s instructions for the time to allow the cake to cool to ensure smooth release (4) Use a Waterpik to clean out the crevices.

This very heavy duty pan makes a beautiful quick bread, making it look like you put more work into than you did. Nonstick aspect is great. I used Baker’s Joy on it which worked well. (My go-to on greasing pans is Crisco, but I used the BJ spray this time because I was in a hurry, and it worked fine.) I did use a soft brush and Dawn dish soap to clean it, to make sure I got in all the nooks and crannies without damaging the surface.

Used this pan only once. It was no chore to remove baked on cake residue inside the cake pan's crevices. All it took was hot water sprayer from the faucet and the brush that comes with the pan. Nice and heavy duty metal. Recommend this pan for the pound cake baker.
