Link Handles 65560 Ball Pein Machinist Handle for 16 to 20 oz. Hammers, 14" Length, Wax Finish, Contractor Grade

High quality dense handle. Straight and well shaped which allowed my ball pein head to slide on and seat perfectly. Only complaint is that the main reason I bought this handle over others was because it said it had a wax finish, but it has a normal lacquer finish like any other handle. I was hoping with this handle I would be able to skip the process of stripping the factory lacquer finish in order to coat it in BLO but I was wrong. Not a huge deal just slightly bothered by the misleading description.

Great wooden handle. hard to find item in the local building supply stores. Replacement handle for a small weight hammer head. Just needed a little shaving on the head slot to fit and back in business in a short while. Made in the USA!

Quality product.

Nice finish, comes with wedge to secure head. Measure old handle length and hole size to get the right replacement. To install: clean head hole and put it on handle. Hold handle and hit it on a hard surface like you would slam a beer glass on the bar. Do not hammer on the head to make it seat, use the head's own weight to force it down onto the handle. Cut excess wood sticking out the top. Drive the wedge into wood on top without hitting metal head if possible. Wedge will secure head to handle, glue is not necessary.

Nothing like a good wood handle

I bought the 14” handle for 16oz -24oz ball-peen handle. I got the cheapest option at $8 i think it said “contractor grade”. I am a contractor, not a machinist, so this handle worked fine for my 16oz estwing ball-peen head. The grain was pretty close to parallel with the swing, and the slot cut in the top was off center. And i had to file it down quite a bit in order for it to fit, But im happy with it because you get what you pay for, and for 8$ it met my needs.

Great handle everything fit fine

Used this handle on an older craftsman 16oz ball pean. Had to make it fit, it was to big Not much effort was needed and just used the wooden wedge. Its in there good. Glad to have my older hammer back, worth the purchase and good price.

It didn't take much time to fit the handle. It comes with new wedges which is very helpful.
