Lots of fun and taste better than microwave
Makes very good popcorn, it took me 3 times to figure out how to make it without over cooking the corn. I pre melt real butter in a small pan before I pop the corn and let it sit and cool while popping the corn. After putting in the popcorn coconut oil it the popper, put the heat on high for the first 60 seconds then bump it down to medium high, then dump in the corn, and keep cranking the crank, as soon as it’s popping steady, turn the burner on low and crank it, every few seconds give it a shake on the burner, when the popping slows, turn off the burner. Open both lids to let the steam out and have a bowl ready to dump it in as fast as possible. Let the popped corn sit for a few mins before adding the topping and add the topping very slowly so not to over soak the popped corn. If you add hot butter to hot popcorn it shrinks and gets soggy or hard to chew.

Very sturdy but poorly engineered.
The stainless steel part is great. But the insides stirring mechanism is a quarter inch off the bottom. The lack of stirring created burnt popcorn and/or poorly popped corn. Taste was bad. Would have returned but used a couple months before retiring it to the garage. It has a nice flat bottom for glass top ranges. That is the only thing I can say that was positive.

Perfect for use on convection top
Quite honestly, I went to Google to find out what to use to make popcorn on a convection top. Cast iron is what we usually cook with, but it didn't work for popcorn. I have an aluminum version of this product, but it doesn't work on a convection top, so I decided to try the stainless steel version. It works great! It's quicker than microwave popcorn, of which I am not a fan anyway. This model does require a tiny bit of assembly, but it's pretty easy; I'd say less than 5 minutes. The only design flaw is the little screw that hold the handle on. You have to really tighten it securely, or it will fall into your popcorn.Overall, it's a great product. I would definitely recommend it, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one. It would likely be as a gift for someone else, as this product is very durable. We eat a lot of popcorn. The aluminum version held up extremely well. We only replaced it with this one because we needed compatibility with our convection top. This popcorn popper did NOT disappoint. We are very happy with it.

Doesn't stir anything.
It does not stir the seeds in the bottom or in the center. Stuff burned into the middle of the pan on the bottom and the little arms are not even low enough to stir any of the seeds when you put them into the oil. I would have just stuck with making popcorn in a regular pot with as well as this expensive pot worked 🤷‍♀️

This pan sucks
All our pans are stainless steel. We understand how to cook with stainless steel. We understand how to clean it. Is pan scorches every time, burns food and never comes clean. I would’ve returned it but I thought I had a 60 day window. Apparently was only a 30 day window. This pan is horrible to use, and it doesn’t pop popcorn well at all. It’s terrible. I e used this style for years and it is not consistent with what I have experienced before. Avoid at all costs.
