According to the manufacturer and my caliper, the part of the peephole that goes through the door is 9/16in or 14.28mm or .56 decimal. So drill the same size hole and round it with the drill bit, or use a slightly larger bit like 5/8in or 15.87mm or .625 decimal. This provides a little room to insert the peephole without being too loose when installed.
