Got this so that I'd have a traditional joystick controller for my Avata FPV. Works really well, as it should. Typical DJI quality!

Great feel, excellent controllability, precise, long battery life, outstanding transmission range, satisfying clicky buttons, comes with an extra pair of grey color sticks, and has beeping sounds for indications. CAN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!

I have received 2 of these remotes now, one from Amazon and one directly from DJI. The one I ordered “New” from Amazon appeared to be a refurbished unit. It arrived in a plastic bag in a brown box, missing a set of sticks and paperwork. The right stick wouldn’t register left and right movement. Sent it back, still awaiting my refund. The one I ordered directly from DJI brand new has issues as well. Left stick does not register movement at all and it sounds like the return springs are broken. Intermittently the springs get binded and the left stick becomes floppy and does not return to center. Just submitted a return for this one as well.

I ordered this controller and when received it came just in a plastic wrap. I tried to connect my AVATA to the controller and my AVATA would not connect. I connected to the controller to my PC to update the firmware using USB cable, and my PC does not even recognize the Controller. UPDATE: You cannot update the firmware using UBC C to USB C. I had to update the firmware using USB A to USB C. The controller now connects and worked as it should. I do like the feel of the controller.

The remote works perfectly. Its also is what I use to play Liftoff, a simulator available from steam, for gaming online. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get into FPV, Using the simulator combined with using the same actual remote i use to fly made a world of difference.

Bought this for my Avata and I had no issues charging and syncing this controller. Great controller.
