Nook glow light
This is the 4th glow light that I’ve bought. I’ve given 2 to my sister. Battery life is great, easy to hold in your hands compared to a larger tablet or iPad. Size is perfect to carry around in my purse. If you’re looking for a perfect reader this is the one to pick.

Just perfect size
I love the size, so handy and perfect. Only complaint is it came with a scratch on the screen.

Not good for downloading ebooks
I am an ARC (advanced readers copies) reviewer with NetGalley and some other independent authors, and so many of the ARCs are ebooks. Reading on my phone is bothersome for my eyes so I wanted something a little easier on the eyes AND wallet than some other popular brand ereaders. Terrible mistake. In theory the process to download your own books onto the device seems easy but after an hour+ of my very tech savvy husband fiddling with this, there was no success. We managed to get a version onto the device but then it would not display the content or flip through pages. It’s crazy in such a digital world it required the device to physically be connected to a laptop. There was not an option to send it in any way.Even if I were using it solely to purchase books from it, the device was so laggy. And after charging the device for hours, the battery life was only at 7% and the off screen read “your device is dead”.All roads were leading me to disappointment with this gadget.

Like new.
If you told me it was brand new I would believe it.Light weight, no defects or blemishes. The physical side buttons are excellent. The screen is very crisp and the backlight illuminates very evenly.

It works
I got this e-readers because I ended up downloading the B&N app on my phone, but wouldn't read on my phone. I like the Kindle e-readers so I figured why not buy a nook. A quick super positive here, the nook is way lighter than I realized an reader can be. I have a few Kindle ereaders and if they're as light as this nook, they don't feel like it. If I had never used a Kindle before, I might think differently of the nook. Having used one though, the nook feels slow & clunky, and even just opening a book feels slow. Typing to find a book not only feels slow, but looks laggy. If I typed with more than one finger I'd probably be irate about it. I've only bought one book using it. Granted, that's less because of how meh doing so is and more that I find it difficult to find the books I want. For example, sure, there are other Carlton Mellick III books on its store, but only one in English that I found. I'm a bit of a Bizzaro Fiction fan thanks to, CMIII. "Cuddly Holocaust" is my favourite book. If you like the foreign movie, "Battle Royale", than "Zombies and Sxxt" is a fun, excellent take on the zombi genre that I find boring. I put "xx" in the last word of the title in case it would prevent the review for being allowed. You can imagine the actual word. I couldn't find either of them on nook, but if you can, I recommend them. Its a bit unfair to compare the nook to a Kindle, but at the same time its not. That's kinda what reviews are, but I honestly feel bad doing it. I don't dislike my nook, but I don't guarantee that I buy another one any time soon. If not for the slow, clunkiness of it, I'd consider it 3.5 stars. Add in finding things other than romance, mystery, and YA way easier and I'd consider it 4 stars. I say finding, rather than searching, because sometimes I don't have a particular book in mind and use another book as a sort of jumping off point to find others like it, but just end up disappointed.
