Spark MINI 10W Portable Smart Guitar Amp & Bluetooth Speaker with App for Playing Guitar at Home or Travel (Black)

This little amp is nothing short of astounding! When I first got it I wasn't particularly impressed with the preset sounds and then I started fiddling about on the app. There are lots of different amps and effects to choose from and you can get a whole range of tones. It won't take you long to find 'YOUR' sounds. Save them to the presets and away you go! I don't know how Positive Grid do it, but you get this immense sound coming out of this tiny box. If you like Dave Gilmour and have the 'Delicate Sounds of Thunder' live album, you can actually get something very close to that immense sound he creates. The app is just brilliant! You have all these backing tracks from fusion, to soul, to rock, that you can jam along with and the sound of your guitar will be synced with the track perfectly. I've tried doing the same thing with my Katana and it wasn't as good. They just don't sound as synced. I hardly ever play my big amps any more as the mini pretty much does anything I need. If you're toying about with the idea of getting one of these ask yourself, 'What volume do I play at most of the time?' I play at home and don't need big volumes, in fact I rarely put my other amps above 2. Also because it's battery powered you can take it anywhere, which I can't do with my little Blackstar Fly. The Mini is really well made and sits nicely in any space. There are a lot of other useful features on the app like showing you the chords you're playing in real time and I think it makes you more aware of how you play. I've been playing for nearly 40 years and I don't think I've ever enjoyed playing an amp as much as this. One thing I would note however, is that if you're playing a single coil guitar and you have the noise gate on, it will choke out the higher notes particularly on the high E string. You won't get this as bad with humbuckers. Just turn the noise gate off and this will help. For the money you pay, you get A LOT and I really mean that. There are quite a few reviewers on YouTube who actually prefer the Mini over the bigger Spark 40. Treat yourself to one, I don't think you'll regret it!

I remember back to when you had to buy a guitar tabs book from a music shop if you wanted to learn a song. Then the Internet came and with it the guitar tabs app. This has taken it to a whole new level. Search a song and play along to a video whilst the chords appear on the screen! If it's an unusual song not on the app yet, the built in Ai will work out the cords for you. Its pretty impressive... Then you have the multiple different options for sound effects and settings, the jam along mode, various other bits n pieces ive not even looked into yet All from a tiny battery powered and mobile speaker that sounds great. Best purchase ever I almost got the spark2 but just needed it for practicing indoors. The mini was the perfect choice

For a small room amp or even for jamming with friends at home, this definitely fits that bill. The sound quality is really decent considering its small size. The app is very good and although I need to put on my strongest reading glasses to make any adjustments to the amp controls (using an iPhone 13 Pro Max) the standout for me is the cloud patches that have been submitted by the community if we're talking about the software. I have a Valeton GP200 which has great sound quality but I don't feel left wanting from the quality of the effects on the Spark MINI at all. They all sound great and the fact that you can wander off with this and use it anywhere is a game changer for me. I have event sat in bed with it and practiced some scales with it sitting on the bedside table. I bought a 5.8ghz wireless guitar transmitter/receiver and can wander around the room with a guitar strap on the Strat and really feel that it's representing the sound of the guitar accurately. It's louder than most people would need in a moderate space though I wouldn't take it to a band practice IF there was a real drum kit there, though I can't help but think it may actually do it's best to fit in volume wise. You can though buy a perfectly decent floor standing amp for the same price which will be louder with greater bass, but it likely won't offer the array of effects this offers, the IRs or the cloud patches that you get from other users. USB-C to my Mac Mini goes straight in to Logic X so it's a nice little audio interface to boot. I'll likely own this for many years to come..

It is good sounding small practice amp. Integrated USB-C charged battery is a life changing feature comparing to Boss Katana Mini and its AA batteries. Spark mini can store 4 different preset which can be edited only by the app on your phone or tablet. It is quite simple to do it, but I prefere to also have access to the physical gain and EQ controls on the amp. You have enough amp models and effects to build your tone and access to the library with a lot of premade presets (even by some famous guitarists). In conclusion this is a nice small practice amp even if slightly overpriced. It is close to Yamaha THR price range which sounds better for my taste.

This guitar amplifier is brilliant. It is very well made and is great value for money. The amount of features it contains through the companion app is amazing and lets you make your guitar have any tone that you want. Using it without the app is also brilliant as the preset tones are great. It is portable and has a great battery life. The ability to plug it into a bigger speaker for live gigs is a great feature. I would definitely recommend it for beginners and seasoned players.

C'est réellement étonnant! Je l'ai acheté pour ne pas avoir à allumer mon Marshall tout lampes qui chauffe la pièce, et c'est la meilleure chose que j'ai faite depuis longtemps en matière d'achat musique! Le son est puissant pour la taille, et les possibilités sont infinies avec l'app associée. La configuration est rapide et facile, en quelques minutes, vous êtes prêts! Les sont sont variés et très bien reproduits. Que ce soit avec une acoustique ou une électrique, c'est vraiment bon. On sent bien que les progrès de modélisation sonore ont été importants depuis quelques années. Comme ampli de chambre/bureau pour s'entrainer, c'est parfait! Il est très compact, esthétique et pratique. Couplé à un transmetteur sans fil pour guitare, c'est idéal. L'application dédiée permet tous les réglages imaginables pour tous les styles. Elle est bien faite, à part la partie qui crée de l'accompagnement en fonction des accords joués, soit disant grâce à l'IA, qui est décidémment partout, qui fait de la bouillie, tout le reste est pratique. Choix du modèle d'ampli, des pédales d'effet actives et des paramètres avec les boutons virtuels, comme sur les vrais. Une fois le son trouvé, vous pouvez le sauvegarder dans une des 4 mémoires dédiées sur le premier bouton en remplaçant les sons d'origine. Bref, beaucoup de choses à explorer avec ce petit ampli de chez Positive Grid, et pour le prix, vous ne serez pas déçus, c'est sûr!

I pre-ordered the Spark Mini and it arrived 11 days before I expected. Setup was easy, I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it was ready to go. Despite of having fewer knobs that its big brother, the app makes it very easy to configure a rig like the big one I have. I got the tones I like quickly and assigned to the presets knob. It sounds very good, much better than another portable (but bigger) amp I have, plus the Mini works as a bluetooth speaker. Battery last a lot, in fact I have charged once a week with one hour of playing daily. It looks very good and finish is high quality. It's pricey but it packs a lot of technology. In other countries, those who pre-ordered it got the red grid as well, not our case in Australia, hence the missing star in value for money.
