REGULAR TV TURNS INTO SMART TV
Received it yesterday and was able to install it within a few minutes. Very easy installation process and connected to my WIFI immediately. I had to get one for a room with no cable connection and now we can watch movies there. I am a little bit technically challenged being an older person and all but I believe I can get apps so I will have more selection of services. It did have NETFLIX, YOUTUBE, GOOGLE PLAY and a few others there but I want to get VUDU and AMAZON MOVIES, too. Came out of the box ready to use, the only hindrance was there were no batteries included for the remote control and fortunately I do have some AAA batteries to put in it. Great buy, works well. No issues so far, connected to my WIFI after I entered the password and streamed movies smoothly. Excellent android box to turn a regular tv into a smart tv.*UPDATE: After using it for a few months, there are definite setbacks. NETFLIX keeps on freezing and I almost cannot watch it on the tv connected to this box. Another thing is that I find it difficult to get the other apps on it like VUDU so I was not able to upload it. My internet wifi is very fast and all my other smart tvs work fine so I guess it's this android box that has issues. I deducted two stars from the original five stars I gave it. I ordered the ROKU stick to replace this so I hope that one will be better once I receive it.

A great box for under $40.
My first android box and I love it. I am using it for m3u8 IPTV and Kodi. It plays back 10-bit HEVC in VLC with hardware acceleration enabled. It does not have bluetooth which is amazing in 2017. I use a 2.5" mechanical USB HDD without any issue. It also powers down the HDD when it goes to sleep. My USB Keyboard was plug and play. It passes DTS audio over the HDMI. The only major issue I have found with this unit is that the remote is sub-par. The mouse feature on the remote is slow to come up and very slow to move around the screen. The middle "OK" button on the remote has to be pressed extra hard for it to register the press. I also notice that pressing up and down arrows on my Vizio TV remote causes the box to go wonky. I have disabled HDMI CEC control on the box and somehow it is still registering commands from my Vizio remote. I almost wonder if the IR commands for the vizio remote are similar enough to the commands that are normally sent via the android box's remote control that the device is decoding them. Who knows. In my testing I also set a 140mbps 10-bit HEVC video file on repeat for 2 hours and the unit did not overheat or glitch out. I am very happy with the money I spent on this. I did not test the WiFi-N functionality but the 10/100 ethernet port worked fine.

Don't buy it ! And I am talking very serious
This product is a complete deception. The seller states some features and claims that you won't find in the product:- It does not support 4k videos- It doesn't support H.265(HEVC)- It doesn't even support HD audio, like Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio- It comes with 2 video players that are a complete waste of time. Terrible players. Maybe you can download a better player, but the built in players are too basic and do not support all the features above- It is VEERY difficult to install new apps. You will waste a LOT of time trying to install new apps if you ever suceed.- Compared to a KDLINKS that I bought 4 years ago, this product makes me laugh.- The worst product I bought in years

Decent item for price paid.
Good item but definitely difficult to install with my Vizio TV. The port it goes into is positioned so we have to insert it in upside down so the reset button isn’t able to be pressed while it’s plugged in. Also, we have to keep telling the phone to mirror so it seems like until we’re actively streaming a show or movie (Netflix etc) it keeps having issues staying connected. Not a bad product other than the inconvenience hooking it up whenever we want to use it. I definitely wish the part that goes into the tv were reversible though.

I like this unit much better
I bought this to replace a TickBox which died. I like this unit much better, HOWEVER, be advised you can't just plug it in and start watching tv and it comes with no instructions telling you what to do. You must download APPS first. My suggestion is to go to YouTube and watch videos on how to use Android tv devices. Its not that hard, but it would be nice if they told you how to go about it. Once it was up and running I like it much better than my Tickbox and would purchase another one.

Great Android TV, One Annoyance
Works really well. It is a bit slow trying to use the virtual keyboard with the remote to type in passwords and such, not sure what you can really do about that though. It seems pretty quick, just a bit sad about no way to plug in an audio cable aside from Fiber. My Yamaha doesn't work with fiber and I am trying to plug this into a monitor instead of a TV so there aren't built-in speakers. Now it is nice that it supports fiber for audio, just a shame that my speakers don't support fiber :/Otherwise, works well!

Sigh...my Roku 3 is better
I have been looking for a replacement to my roku 3. The hardware in this box was much better than my Roku 3. It technically should be 3x faster. However, the playback is very choppy (wired, not using wifi), colors appear dull, and navigation seems very slow. I took a chance with this box, and I regret it.Tried playing the same movie with my roku 3 with the same connection and the same TV - smooth playback, colors bright, fast navigation. Back to the drawing board looking for a 4K solution.
