Great and comfortable device.
I grind my teeth and clench my jaw while I sleep, but I have an overactive gag reflex, which makes wearing most night guards impossible. I didn't have high hopes for this one, honestly, because I have tried so many guards in the past, but the constant jaw pain was getting to be too much to bear. This kit comes with very detailed instructions on how to mold the trays and how to get a comfortable fit. I found the quick process very easy to do. The first night was a tiny bit uncomfortable as I learned to sleep with a hunky of plastic in my mouth, but the reduced jaw pain the next day made the slight inconvenience worth it. I have slept in it every night since and it helps immensely. I am happy to have more trays to mold when this one wears out and the inclusion of the cleaning tablets and case is a great bonus. I wish I had purchased this three or four years ago!

Wonderful guards: Don't hesitate to buy!
Great product with phenomenal customer service. Like some other customers, I had a bit of trouble with the moulding process. I have used self-moulding guards before, but I think these ones were a little trickier because they are thinner and thus more sensitive in the heating and moulding process. After struggling a bit through all four of the moulds included in the set, I sent photos to ProDental's customer service team. They promptly replied to my message (even though it was on a weekend!) and provided extremely knowledgable and specific advice that proved immensely helpful (keeping a wooden spoon underneath the guard while submerged in water to allow for quick removal once the edges curled, taking the time to carefully spread apart the edges of the guard on a paper towel *before* inserting into mouth, and inserting the guard molars first to ensure an accurate impression of back teeth (this was giving me particular grief as the back would collapse when I did a sufficient mould of the front teeth first) proved particularly useful for me). They even very generously sent along 4 extra guards so that I could get a perfect mould now that I understood how! Such thoughtful and attentive customer service seems like a rarity these days and I was very appreciative. The guards themselves are much more comfortable than my previous guards (Amazon's current bestseller): they come with 4 guards that can fit bottom or top teeth giving you the flexibility to craft the guards to your preference, and thinner guards offer the same protection with much greater comfort. If you're hesitating to purchase these, definitely just do it! Can't recommend them more highly!

Saved hundreds and works!
This works as advertised. Easy to use and has free wifi built in. (jk about the wifi!) They included multiple pieces in case you bite through it. The first fitting i did left it not quite right and i almost chewed thru it at night. Next day i reformed it better and it has been holding up well. I can only assume that stress is causing the grinding, it happened suddenly but left my teeth aching. Dentist wanted about 800 to custom fit a guard. This works just fine and my teeth feel better than without. Definatly worth it in my book. Still feels a bit bulky even after trimming so i held a star back but other than that, it is great!

A bit rubbery
I appreciate the company has a very thorough instructional video and are committed to the quality of their product. It didn’t work for me for a few reasons. Even though I saw the outline of my teeth in the rubber and whatnot (I went through about 4 tries to make sure I had a secure fit), it was still bulky in my mouth and felt insecure. I have had professional night guards through he dentist and they always line up with my bottom teeth, but his night guard recommends you don’t bite down during molding. I suspect that is why it felt so uncomfortable when I tried to sleep- my jaw was wider than normal and it really felt like something was in my mouth. Lastly, there’s a hard nub right at the front in the middle of the plastic. I used scissors to trim it when the plastic was still warm but couldn’t get it smooth. You can tell it is there until you’ve heated the plastic to mold it. I have no doubt this works for some people but I prefer the more solid guards that match your bottom teeth.

Terrible
Don't waste your time or money! Product does not work, will not mold. I followed the instructions word for word! And to boot the molds had scratches on them right out of the package. After many failed attempts, I decided to just pay the expense of having my dentist do one for me.I am a moderate night time teeth grinder and will not risk using a faulty, inferior product. If I could, I would give it zero stars.

Excellent guard. You need to repeat the forming process 3 times for a perfect fit.
Just picked these up because I've ground the points off of my eye teeth. With some trepidation, I began to form the mouthpiece by first reading and rereading the instruction sheet, followed by watching the video of the dentist going through the steps. My guess is the negative reviews are mostly a lack of comprehension in the forming procedure. That said, I will say that one forming is NOT enough to make a tight fit. Let me explain. Follow the steps provided but know the first time through will yield a preliminary fit. You must repeat the procedure. Rinse the guard you formed and throw it back in the hot water for another 10-15 seconds until the edges curl again, remove and stick it back in around your teeth, I promise you the fit will feel more natural than the first time. Repeat one more time and for the last forming bite down, not hard, just bring your bottom teeth up to the guard to leave a light imprint. This is SO necessary, for me at least, for a comfortable fit while my jaw is relaxed. After doing the 3 forming cycles, follow the instructions to make the snug fit by quickly tossing it in the water for a second or two and gently pulling the back edges together while dunking it in the ice water bath. If you follow these steps, you will be left with a perfectly formed mouth guard that will rival the pro guards from dental offices. Check my photos1. Read and understand the directions in full. This is critical.2. Repeat the forming process on the guard THREE times bringing your bottom teeth in contact with the guard for the third forming.3. Enjoy not grinding your teeth down to nubs :)
