A Must Have Item if You Are Using a Propane Burner Outdoors
I've been making paella since I was a boy learning the art from my parents, aunts, and uncles. I've competed in, and judged paella championships in the US and in Spain, so I know my way around the paella pan. I've often struggled with keeping an even flame under the paella pan on a breezy afternoon. I've always looked for a spot that was away from the wind to set up my propane burners. I've purchased two of these windscreens for my 27" and 32" paella pans and they work incredibly well. Simply hang them on edge the pan, then store them flat after use. I've even given them as gifts to friends who are as passionate about paella as I am. If you are serious about making paella, and if you use propane ring burners outdoors, you should consider getting a set of these windscreens. Paco Rodiño Vives

Not ideal for 15" or smaller paella
I have a variety of Paella, ranging from 10 - 18 inches and have made these dishes several times using a charcoal grill setup. After deciding to upgrade my "paella game" and avoid the hassle of starting a charcoal fire every time, I purchased a propane G400 outdoor burner and stand and I ordered these shields because Amazon recommended them for my setup. The review photos made these look ideal for my new setup.I quickly tried them out using my 15" paella to make a Vallencia style meal. I will say that these shields work well at blocking the wind, but they are very don't hang all that well on the paella. The S-hooks that hang the shields from the pan slip off way too easily, and when they do, they are *very* hot. They came off several times. With only two attachment points per shield, they don't hang very well in the first place. Also, my 15 paella just wasn't large enough for the shields to hang freely from the stand. Additionally they have no cutout or other provision for fitting around the long propane lines leading to the burner. For $60, in Spring 2021, this is kinda expensive for three pieces of thin metal and a hand full of S-Hooks. I could make something like this for a lot less. I wish I had not selected this kit for my solution.I would not recommend these for anything smaller than a 18" and will say that you maybe can make it work for smaller paella, but it's not ideal. If you are making paella for a large number of people with a pan larger than 15" these will probably work better, but the attachment method is still sub-optimal.For a smaller family and events using a 60 cm (24") and smaller paella, I would recommend one of the paella burner stands with a built in wind screen. Those are a freestanding enclosure in which you place your burner setup. Those run slightly more than twice the price of these shields, but it's a much less troublesome setup.I would say that this shield kit makes a lot more sense for very large Paella (20" and up) as we saw in the few photos.

Paella windscreen
For all you paelladors a windscreen is a must have for an outdoor propane paella burner. I’ve cooked on my 22” pan for 8+ years. The windscreen kept the flames undisturbed and even, while keeping the heat concentrated. You could probably make one from galvanized or aluminum flashing. I’ll reinforce the metal’s overlap to make it more robust.

Easy to assemble product
Have used it once and seems to be working and helping with protecting from the wind.
