Expensive but worth it
We finished our kitchen remodel last month and lined some of the shelves with this cork on the shelves where glasses are stored to catch any residual dampness and also prevent breakage. Also lined the pots/pans drawer and other storage drawers to keep stuff from sliding around. Great product and I've used it in the past. 10/8/2024 - I forgot to add this: The cork is tightly rolled and doesn't want to lie down flat. Also needs some help to STICK. I had to get the hair dryer out and warm the cork, then press it down so it would stick. So this additional step took some time. To me it was worth a little extra effort, but maybe that would be a negative for some.

Perfect for ceramic coasters.
I made ceramic coasters in pottery class. They were a bit uneven and I didn't want them to scratch up my glass and wood tables. I cut them with a combination of x-acto knife and scissors and they cut easily. The adhesive backing stuck in place immediately. I rubbed them down using the removed paper backing and they are clearly there for life. Forget peeling them back off to adjust the position, you need to place them right the first time or you will have to slice then off with a knife and place a new piece. They don't seem crumbly but as others have mentioned if you pick at them to try to pull the cork off then it does crumble and not hold together as a sheet. I haven't tried them in my Sizzix Big Shot yet. I only had the thin Framelits for the circle size I wanted and the cork is thicker than my Framelits. I expect to have some fun with the thicker Bigz dies though.

Be gentle- adhesive could be improved- thin- needs foam backer
Made custom bulletin boards for my twins room. Not very thick! You also need something soft behind it to accommodate a thumbtack- be gentle as not to break it! I was attaching to painted wood- WOULD NOT STICK. I ended up mounting it to foam board from Walmart first then used double sided gorilla foam tape to attach the foam to the wood. Seems like that worked. For the price - probably fair, but you will have to get creative depending on what you are making- can add up the price of your project!

Great to line flatware & kitchen "junk" drawers
I was searching for beige or tan Con-Tact paper to spruce up my flatware drawer's organizers when I happened upon this cork Con-Tact paper. I used Clorox CleanUp and baking soda to remove any black marks left on the plastic by the flatware, and Goo Gone On the Go (an excellent applicator!) to remove any tape residue from taping in cardboard dividers years ago to make smaller compartments in the longer ones. Btw, that cardboard placed at the ends also protects the plastic from being damaged by tines and knives striking it when the drawer is closed. Since I was at it I refined my years-ago work around for falling over flatware—that's crumpled aluminum foil between the stacks—by covering Styrofoam w/the foil instead. I had intended to merely use a long Styrofoam block for each but the piece in my stash (DIYers save things that might come in handy,) that had had a circular piece cut out of it for another project, had long and narrow sides which perfectly lent themselves to snuggling up between the stacks. I probably wouldn't have thought of that otherwise. After lining the bottoms I again made dividers, covering some of them w/cork on both sides and am very pleased with the overall results. What's more it will be very easy to change the cork in the future since I took the advice of another reviewer and lined the cork w/thin cardboard before placing it inside the individual compartments.

Easy to install, keeps silverware tray from sliding in drawers
I finally got annoyed enough with the silverware tray sliding around in the drawer every time I opened it to look for a solution. This cork liner was very easy to install (lined markings on the paper backing that you remove to expose the adhesive), and it has stopped the sliding -- the tray stays put. Wish I had found this sooner! I remember the difficulty of installing old-style paper in drawers -- you needed an extra hand or two to hold the paper straight while sticking the adhesive down, and invariably the paper would get stuck where you didn't want it and it was a frustrating mess. This cork liner was so much easier, because it is stiff enough to not get tangled up, yet flexible enough to bend as you are tucking it into the drawer. And it looks terrific -- clean and polished, and not like Grandma's kitchen. ;-)

Fair product with dry, cracking ends
I used this product about 12 years ago in a kitchen and the stuff was easy to cut and stick. It was set on semi-gloss paint and with the exception of a few tiny areas, the adhesive held well over 3 years. I just bought a 12" x 4' roll and found the cork perhaps ever-so-slightly thinner and both ends of the roll had slight cracking but I managed to stick the sheet on without the roll cracking all the way through. The adhesive paper was a little difficult to remove at the starter end of the roll but the rest was fine. Not like it used to be, but acceptable. I would still order again, and I assume maybe some of the other reviews about cracking have to do with old rolls sitting around for too long?

This product is as it claims, but BE CAREFUL. DO NOT stick to wallpaper or colored walls, it will rip the wallpaper and chip the paint off of the walls . If I has known this I wouldnt have bought it. However, with all that being said, it sticks well and its cork.

This product is excellent. The backing has a measured grid to help you easily cut to your required size. Once removing the backing, the adhesive is tacky enough to hold well but releases easy enough to reposition. I was applying to a metal drawer so that may help. I would think a laminate shelf would release as easily.
