Excellent, despite its age - one of the best GL-iNet routers in my possession, only superceded by the new BE3600 with the touch-screen display. It all works as it should on every network I've thrown at it so far, but I guess there might be one out there that will cause an issue when I do come across it (if ever). Yes, it's a tad energy hungry so if you're powering it via a USB power bank just be aware that it won't remain powered for as long as the other models in GL.iNet's range.

These are awesome when travelling. Super quick to set up and mean all my devices can use an encrypted link to the internet using my Mullvad VPN geo-locating me wherever I need to be.

This is way better than I was expecting. I upgraded from a cheaper model from a different brand apprehensively and was not disappointed, this outperforms in every way. It’s easy to set up and use, it’s reliable and its signal strength is good. Obviously you lose some speed when connecting through any travel router but if you travel a lot then this will be a great additional to your carry on luggage as it’s small enough not to be an issue.

Versatile, with good functionality. Would have given 5 stars if the power plug had foldable pins for travelling.

I bought this and deployed it in my parents house with it's wireguard VPN connection configured. Thus, any devices in my parents house that connect to this thing wirelessly or using one of the LAN ports seamlessly accesses my home network securely. Both my parents and I have gigabit internet. I was able to access my files whilst staying there over Christmas with absolutely no hanging or buffering. I had thought the wireguard processing would slow it down, but it handled it like a champ.The user interface is super easy to understand (at least I found it to be, especially compared to things like Netgear's interfaces). I also found the web UI to be quick and snappy. Again, I'm used to my Nighthawk X6 R8000 which seems to chug along slowly, and need to reboot whenever you make a change, and takes forever to restart.I will probably buy one for myself as a travel router for the next holiday, as being able to provide a VPN'd wifi connection to all the devices without them needing to have anything installed (becaues it's just an internet connection to them) is really handy. However, I don't believe it can connect to a wifi source, and provide a wifi access point at the same time, so I may need to get a second alternative device to either act as the wifi AP, or provide a WAN ethernet connection to this thing. Either way fixes that issue.

The device managed to brick itself into an unrecoverable state in just over a month. I can't get to the uboot recovery screen. No lights are on at all.

Does what it is meant to do and setting the VPN was simple.
