My lower back likes to stiffen up and hurt if it doesn't receive some kind of a massage on a regular basis.We were thinking of buying a full-sized massage chair. I used to work in a building with free massage chairs. I miss them. After some research, I discovered that not only are the good massage chairs very expensive, but they also like to break down and require maintenance.Enter, this nifty little back massager. Yes, it doesn't operate in the same league as a full-on massage chair. It's a bit more tedious to use. It doesn't crack my back the way an excellent massage chair does. But it is also only a small fraction of the price. For what it costs, it packs quite a punch.When I first started playing around with the Zyllion back massager, I had to experiment with how much of my body weight I can put on it. If you put too much weight on it, it overheats more quickly. But oh, when I am lying on my back and it hits the right spots on my shoulders or on my lower back... I'm in heaven. And sometimes in a bit of pain - in a good way.One thing this little massager can do that a massage chair can't: reaching all sorts of weird angles. A full-sized massage chair has relatively fixed mechanics. In contrast, the Zyllion Shiatsu Back massager can be placed anywhere on my body. Back. Front. Sides. The insides of my knees. Wherever.I like this device so much that I bought one for my Mom too.

UPDATE 3/23/23: Yeah, i’m still talking about this massager 😻 Wanted to add I just tried it on my head and it was magical ✨✨ My head wasnt even hurting, was just curious how it would feel. Also, surprisingly, at same time it got my upper neck all the way around, an area i had problems reaching before and it got some achey spots very nicely. Try your head!UPDATE 9/17/22: Yes I overdid it and was a little sore the next day (it hurt SO good) - however! I had so much relief from the tight knots in my back, was so relaxed and relieved. I waited a couple of days before resuming and kept it to just 15-20 mins and had no more soreness at all. I can do it for as long as I want now. So just be careful if you're really tight or knotted up not to overdo at first. Yes, i also wish the on/off was a bit more convenient, and it's tricky getting the neck area, but it's still a solid 5 stars for me. Also - you have to click the cables together until they snap when you first set it up, people complaining of the cables coming undone aren't following the directions. I super love this thing.Original Review: Arrived 10 mins ago, been on it 5 mins and OMG, yes! If you get knots above, between or around your shoulder blades, this just might be your holy grail. I placed it on a pile of pillows in bed and reclined with it in the middle of my back, but wasn't hitting right at all, so I shifted it over so it's more centered over shoulder blade and good golly, it's so damn good. just moved it to other side, took a couple rearrangements of massager and pillows, but found the sweet spot on left. I like deep massage and a fair amount of pressure and this delivers. The heat is ok, but like others have commented, pretty minimal. There's a soft humming to the motor, but less than expected, barely noticeable. I'm prob going to overdo it and be sore. I've needed these knots worked on since before the pandemic. Looking forward to moving it around and trying different areas. So far it has exceeded expectations.

I read the reviews and for the price (not high) thought I would give this a try. WELL WORTH the money. I would be surprised if ANYONE would not like this product. A nice alternative to a full chair back massage unit (and more discreet for use at work, etc.) I was skeptical, but I have to say that this thing feels great (possibly a little rough depending on how much pressure you put on it, but it doesn't bother me). I used it right out of the box for about an hour, working lower back then moving it up every 5-10 minutes, then down and up again. I used it upright (power button on top) for lower back, then flipped it over for higher on the back. As the top and bottom rotating balls are not the same, I have to flip it over for my upper back for comfort. My back was totally unlocked after use -- NEVER felt better. In short, you can't go wrong with this unit. My ONLY critiques are the following. 1. The connection between the unit and the chord is not super tight, so I've disconnected it a couple of times. Not a huge issue. 2. The power button is not in the best location. When you use it upright (power button on top) - no issues. However, when you flip it over (power button on the bottom), which you may have to do for comfort and depending on how your back curves, the power button may (it does for me) press into your chair and power the unit off. It's pretty annoying and the only reason this did not get 5 stars. The power button should be on the side where it won't get pressed by your chair, or better yet on the chord itself. Having the power on the chord also would be better to make it easier to shut off (like if someone comes in your office while you're using it), as opposed to having to fumble around behind your back.
