LM Waste Receptacles Great Buy.
i really should set this up on a recurring purchase. we buy these in quantities of 2, love our littermaid, we've done several upgrades, - pieced together a new housing ie ikea style - added a semi bendable flap which prevents litter from making it under the receptical and outside the waste area - thinking about upgrading the motor to something a bit more robust to our cats needs - anyone thought of adding a tap on the motion sensor so when it kicks off the rake, it additionally sprays an air neutrilizer?Notes>- search google for 'littermaid+ikea' 'littermaid+hacks'You'll find a ton of good info, we've thoroughly enjoyed our Littermaid, we've had an ultra and the mega. we replace our roughly every 3yrs.Littermaid addons:- the "Solution" would be the commercial version of my 'receptacle flap' i built with a leftover piece of bendable plastic. Littermaid - Nature's Miracle - Waste Receptacles Solution Littergard Kit With Trimmed Receptacles - We using the BAG-it Combo as well to extend the life of the receptacles but for whatever reason, Laziness we stopped. Fit in my "natures miracle" unit perfectly
My grandma has a "littermaid" she's had 2 and I put them both together and I also have changed the boxes before, I have a natures miracle (the single cat machine)- the store that we bought her littermaid from now only has "natures miracle" automatic boxes and refill waste boxes and the nature's miracle ones fit in her litter maid, it was easier (and potentially cheaper) for me to just order these off of amazon and have them shipped than go to the store to buy them and hope they were on sale normally I buy them if they are on sale when I buy cat food. They fit just fine and seem to be the same except these are a semi-transparent white color, where natures miracle is black would order these from Amazon again. I replace about once a week with one cat.

Do you smell that?
I have an automatic kitty littler box that matches these trays. I like the whole system as it makes it easy to clean up after my 17 pound Maine Coon. I gave this a 4 star rating because the plastic is of a thinner variety. Because of this, when we go to clean the box the tray's edges will often bend/flex and some its contents will fall out. Even though its easy enough to clean up when this happens, the point of the containers are to not have to do this. All in all, we will continue to buy this product because it fits into out machine, and works, but if we find a variety that's of thicker plastic we will most likely switch to those.

I love the fact that I don't have to scoop that ...
I love the fact that I don't have to scoop that much any more. I love my Automatic littler box. I would give it 5 stars but there is one issue that is a big one to me. That issue is the edge that goes under the tabs closest to the litter box need to be a little wider. They don't go in far enough and litter gets in between the receptacle and the litter box itself. Every time I change the receptacle, I end up sweeping litter off the floor from under the litter box. If this could be changed/improved upon this the future, that would be awesome. OR make something that is removable that covers this gap, that would be great. I would buy one too!

Sturdier but a minor problem with the fit
These are the brand-name replacement boxes for the Littermaid automatic system. They are a different, sturdier type of plastic than the boxes included with the litter system. This is good, as they are holding up for reuse much better then the originals. I particularly like the lid. The original box lids were very flimsy and kept falling out of the litter box cover, creating quite a mess. The only problem with these boxes is that they are marginally taller than the originals; this means I have to struggle to fit the box into place. Once in place, there isn't a problem.

So Thin :(
I haven't bought a pack of these for probably over 5yrs. Was having a horrible time trying to find these in any store!! Asked for them at Petsmart & told lady it was for a Litter Maid. She looked at me like I was speaking a foreign laguage!! Said she never heard of a Litter Maid!! So I found them on here!! Only thing is they are not nearly as thick of a plastic that they used to be :( I'm glad I found them, but also glad I use each one until they are falling apart & cracked. I always dump the used litter out of the receptacle into a plastic grocery bag & throw it away outside in the trash. I think if I'm not careful pulling the bin in & out of the Litter Maid it will crack & break :( The old receptacle I still have from over 5yrs ago is a tan-ish color. These new ones are a cream color & almost see through :( Guess companies are looking to save money, but still charge us the same price for their items even though they are not as well made :(

Puzzled, but happy customer
I'm very puzzled about posters who say these are very flimsy and don't fit. These are substantially stronger and less flexible than what came with my Littermaid litterbox. They fit fine if you take the time to make sure they fit under the tabs. Maybe what I ordered is an updated design? In any case, I'm very happy with these. I have 4 cats who use this box and these are working out great. I use grocery bags to line them and since I have to change the bags out daily now due to a cat who pees a lot more due to illness, the container is doing quite excellent! They last over a month, so the 18 count is more than a year supply.

These Quality Littermaid Receptacles Eclipse Their Generic Competitors
These Littermaid receptacles have become increasingly difficult to track down in retail stores.Walmart Canada is one of the few remaining places where I have come across them, but I have grown weary of traipsing from one Walmart location to another (even out-of-town locations) only to discover that they're out of stock. Most pet supply stores have jettisoned the Littermaid receptacles from their inventory lineup in favour of Nature's Miracle receptacles.Well.There is NO comparison. The Nature's Miracle receptacles bend, buckle and otherwise do NOT hold their shape when inserted underneath the tabs in an automated litter system. The molded plastic is cheap, and possesses no proper torsional rigidity.Consequently, the lids don't align on top of the containers in a sealtight fashion.Furthermore, straight out of the box, the top 2 or 3 receptacles in each stack are inevitably distorted in shape, rendering them useless for sealtight litter containment.Conversely.....The Littermaid receptacles are NOT flimsy. They come out of the box intact - all of them. They readily slide underneath the tabs in the automated litter system. And best of all, the lids align precisely on top of the containers, creating sealtight protection against odours from the kitty litter in the containers.Hey, you get what you pay for.But here's the thing:Because Amazon.ca offers free shipping for this Prime product if my order is over $35.....And since their 'value pack' price is so reasonable to begin with.....It is no more expensive to purchase quality Littermaid receptacles than it is to buy the lower-grade Nature's Miracle receptacles. And I love the air pillows that Amazon includes in the packaging; the air pillows ensure that the enclosed boxes don't get damaged during shipping. So I conclude this note by addressing both Littermaid and Amazon.ca:On behalf of our 4 rescue kitty cats - Sandy, Caspian, Dapper Dad and After Midnight - I thank you for making quality kitty cat litter containment affordable.PhiL >^•_•^<

Not crazy expensive, but for what they are I always feel conned.
These are for (in my opinion) the best automated litter box that isn't too expensive.Although these aren't that expensive to replace, I tend to reuse them until they *have* to be changed, and knowing how cheap they are to produce makes it hurt to buy these. BUT the litter box is amazing and still cheaper than most of the other automated alternatives so I can't complain too much.
