Works well
Recommended to me by my tattoo artist. I use it for one tattoo that an apprentice really chewed up, and for a spot on my leg that literally became a hole after an infection a while back. This stuff has helped speed up my scar healing considerably for both areas. Just be mindful it stays on, and once dried it can start to look like you have skin flaking off. This is normal and fine but looks weird if you are covering any spots that are publicly visible.

Excellent product
This is absolutely wonderful product to reduce scarring. I used it for my hands when I had carpal tunnel then I used it for my recent back surgery. I’m simply amazed on how well it does. I practically have no scores at all for my back surgery this year and the hand surgery is totally gone

This one seems to work best. It won't part water or perform major miracles ...
Have tried several different products. This one seems to work best. It won't part water or perform major miracles but will make things much better. I have a huge scar about 18 inches long, raised and dark. its hideous so don't ask me to post pics. Its so gross it should run for president. I do my best to block it from sun exposure but it still gets dark. I have had several surgical scars previously and this stuff generally flattens them with about 2 bottles worth of application. This one big scar I have for some reason, half of it is not cooperating in flattening out. In particular, my scar runs down my stomach so it moves a lot. The substance tends to peel a lot because of all the moving. I noticed also that as I get closer to the bottom of the bottle the liquid becomes more dried out and thick and not as effective. As soon as I pop open a new jar it applies with a lot more ease and thinner. Its also more effective. I can tell because with the new jar tends it tends to burn more and immediately there is a bit of scar shrinkage within days. I almost wish they separated this into 2 smaller bottles. I have also tried mederma and a variety of silicone sheets. None of them are worth the time and trouble. My only concern is if there are long term negatives for using this stuff for so long. I've used this on my current scar for almost a year and its only about 40% gone. I expect the scar will remain very visible but for now my only concern is flattening it out and lightening it a bit.

Makes a true difference
This stuff is fantastic! I've used many other highly rated scar products but nothing comes close to what scarguard has done for me. Almost a year ago I was attacked and left with a thick, raised, five inch scar on my forearm. Since the first day I was okayed to do scar treatment I've been doing everything I could to reduce the appearance of my scar. Having to attend court is enough reminder of my attacker without the bright red scar that gets me stares everywhere I go. Since I started using scarguard I've noticed a significant improvement. Every other product I used made a subtle difference that gave me tiny bits of relief but using this has been such a dramatic difference. My scar is no longer raised a third of an inch nor is bright red anymore. It is now almost completely flush with my skin and it is more pink in appearance. The brush on scar treatment started helping so quickly that I noticed a difference after just the first week. I was so happy that I cried, no shame. My advice is that if you are worried about your scar's appearance or you get panic attacks or terrible looks from others because of it like I did then use this. I wouldn't be writing this if it hadn't made such a difference for me, and I've only been using it for a month. I'd say to only brush on one layer otherwise you could make it too thick and it'll peel up faster. Also, keep whatever area your scar is on straight and don't let anything rub against it for about five minutes after applying. It only takes one minute to dry, but if you're like me and your scar is near an area that bends or moves lots then it will peel up faster. I've found that applying and keeping my arm still and uncovered for roughly five minutes insures the treatment won't peel or crack for about eight-nine hours. There is no need to peel the first layer off when you reapply though you can. I peel it off before reapplying because it itches having the loose part still on but I know that it doesn't do that to everybody. Use twice a day and you'll start seeing impertinent impressively fast.

Did not work to reduce my keloid scars!
Scarguard was recommened to me by my Gyneac Surgeon to eliminate my keloid scars that was formed from an acne pimple. She said that it is the best keloid scar treatment available (without prescription) and a lot of plastic sugeons use and recommend it. I have been using it regularly and twice a day for the last 3 months on two different scars- one was an old 5 years old scar and the other was a fresh scar that had just healed. The scars are very tiny (about 1/4 inch). However, it did not reduce any of the scars, not even slight reduction in the color or the bump. I am very disappointed with this product since it is expensive and did not work. Plus, the liquid leaves a whitish peel-off reside on the scars that keeps falling and does not stay on the scar. So, I have to keep reapplying the medicine. As a result, this expensive medicine bottle is emptying faster. I do not intend to buy another bottle.

Tough to use
I bought this to use on a tummy tuck scar, It was hard to apply. It has a nail polish brush applicator. It also rubbed off after putting on clothes. May be best for small cuts/scars that will not be covered by clothing.
