My smartTV doesn't have the hulu app on it, and I got tired of watching hulu on my iMac (late 2015 model). After some reading, I discovered that I needed to connect the iMac and the TV with a HDMI cable. However, the iMac didn't have a HDMI port on the back. It had only USB ports and two thunderbolt 2 ports. So I bought this device to connect the HDMI cable to my computer via the thunderbolt 2 port. The device worked fine, once I made a few tweaks. First, on my smartTV, I pressed the "input" button on the remote control. The input was already set to HDMI-2; this is the port (on the side of the TV) where the comcast/xfinity box connected. So, the HDMI port on the back of my TV turned out to be HDMI-1. I selected HDMI-1, and I saw my computer wallpaper, but my HULU safari window was missing on my TV display even though it showed up on my iMAC display. To fix this, I had to go to Apple Preferences / Displays. Go to the "Arrangement" tab and place a check in the "Mirror Displays' checkbox. This means that the TV screen will be a matching copy of the iMac screen. After closing the Apple "Preferences" window, I launched hulu, and I expanded the video to full-screen mode. My TV showed an identical image. But...at first, the audio continued to come from my iMac speakers instead of the TV. (The TV has much higher-quality speakers than the iMac, so I needed to adjust this. Back in the Apple Preferences area, I accessed "Sound". Now, with the cable connected, a new option appeared in the list of devices: Name: #320i-B2; Type: HDMI. "Internal Speakers" was still highlighted by default, so I clicked on the new HDMI option to select it. Then everything worked fine. (Of course the color wasn't as nice on my TV as on the iMac. I'm still working on troubleshooting that.) Fortunately, when I went to watch hulu again the next day, my iMac had remembered the tweaks I described above, so I didn't have to repeat all the steps. I simply had to change the TV's input from HDMI-2 to HDMI-1.

This worked perfect and was half the price at normal stores!! I've had to over 4 months and is very sturdy and doesn't look like it will break anytime soon

I ordered this adapter and overall, it was working great, but it completely stopped working within just 3 months. When you move it a bit, you can even he internal crackle of electricity. I am disappointed in the quality of this. Edit: Right after I wrote this review, I was contacted by customer service and they sent me another port, no questions asked! It works perfectly now and they helped me with everything!

This product worked perfectly. I used it with my Surface Pro to run about 4 hours of slides for a training event. I had no issues.

My Macbook Air (early 2015 production) called for a Thunderbolt 2 to HDMI cable to project my computer's display onto my TV...but it only worked on one of my three TVs. No one in the Macbook forums could figure it out. On a hunch I purchased the UGREEN Mini Display to HDMI adapter, connected it via a HDMI cable to my TVs and it solved my problem. It works great and the picture is great...all for under $9. I'd definitely purchase this adapter again.

Excellent picture and audio, just plugged it in and everything works.

Seems to work fine, cheap plastic casing, but that is par for the course with most of these items.

I used this to hook up to my monitors at home. I could work on the go and keep work on my laptop, but use my screens.
