Q: I just received a bottle of this and there is an expiration date on the cap. Can this lubricant actually lose its effectiveness past the expiration?

Used this product for more than five years after opening, till it was used up. Couldn't tell any difference at the end. Always kept the lid sealed tight, never left it sitting in the sun, which might be important. I never paid any attention to the expiry date.

It's safer to stay away from the non-metallic and non-electrically conductive anti-seizes to avoid galvanic corrosion, since this is a case of dissimilar metals. I'd recommend testing LB 8023, LB 8014 or LB 8023.
