EarSkinz AirPod Covers (ES3) - Red - for Apple AirPods

3 stars because some of the issues with the product stem from apples design choices rather than this product. I don't know why they Apple would make a product that is one size fits all when not everyone's ears are the same size. When I go into best buy and look at the headphones 99% of them have rubber tips with different sizes. Apple thinks it's a better idea to shove a one size fits all hunk of hard, rigid plastic into your ear but I digress. I was hoping that these covers would eliminate this problem but unfortunately they just created more. These make the air pods too big to even fit into my ear. They fit in just barely so they quickly work themselves out and I have to readjust them. They also make the pods too big to fit into the charging case so you constantly have to remove/replace them before and after charging. They also completely negate the auto pause feature with the air pods. When you take these out of your ear, because the pods are now wrapped in silicon they detect that they are being covered by something even though its not your ear and so they keep playing rather than pausing like they should. This is especially annoying for me because I listen to podcasts at work and have to take my headphones in and out quite a bit but I don't want to miss anything so the auto pause feature is crucial.I gave 3 stars because these problems aren't really Earskinz fault. They are just trying to improve apples terrible design choice but ultimately this product just didn't work for me. I saw a solution online where you cut a couple small pieces of sticky foam with a hole punch and stick a couple onto the pods. It provides cushion and grip while staying out of the way so they still fit into the charging case. Google that solution instead of getting these.

I don't understand why folks just can't stop looking for something negative to say about EVERYTHING!! These covers work add they should. I absolutely love them. They feel very tight in both ears and before I got them, I was always paranoid that I would lose them. Not anymore!For those who think that it changes the quality of the AirPod because they are experiencing when they take the pods out of their ears, the music keeps playing when it suppose to stop. Well, the solution for that is simple. When you slip the covers on, be very focused that you don't cover ANY of the built in black dots and lines on the AirPods. Those are your sensors and electronic indicators. If you cover them, there no way for it to determine whether you have the Pods in your ear or out. Which is why the covers are designed with the exact holes to match the sensors on the pods. I tested this myself and experienced the pods continuing to play when those sensors are covered.As for the product itself, it's designed perfectly. However they do appear to be a little tight to get on, but I understand that if they weren't, they will not fit snug to the pod as they should.I love them and WILL buy at least 2 more sets to keep on hand..., just in case.

I like wearing the earskinz on my AirPods. I think they add a little extra grip and maybe help get better sound out of the AirPods. I say maybe because it's not that much improvement, if any. That's of ok with me though. I wish you can leave them on while putting the AirPods to charge in the case but for me it's not a deal breaker. I do wish the cutouts for the sensors were a little bigger. They will move and the sensors get covered up causing the AirPods to not know when they are in your ears or out. If you leave them in all the time that isn't an issue but I take them in and out a lot.

Not bad covers/keepers. I purchased these for the Mrs. She likes them for a more concealed look. And they do not usually fall out of her ears. I have had my AirPods for ~ a year now and she is just getting accustomed to her set. So even with the keeps on the AirPods popped out once or twice on the first try. But that's normal IMO.

Work perfectly. a little irritating to one of my ears but that’s just the size of my ear. All AirPod features work with grips on for me they just don’t fit in the case and are easy to take off and put on

After using the EarPod covers on the AirPods for several months while waiting for the AirPod-specific models--was ecstatic to order a pair. About 14 months later, I'm still using the same pair of EarSkinz for my AirPods; concerned I'd lose that original pair I purchased once they were available on Amazon, I ordered a second pair & have yet to need them. These work perfectly and don't hurt my ears like some of the other AirPod accessories do (specifically the covers with "hooks"). Highly recommended!

These really keep my Airpods in my ears even when I'm sweating and working hard.Sound quality is also improved by helping seal out some of the ambient sound and keeping the sound in your ears. They don't interfere with Siri control, and they look great.The only downside is they have to be removed before putting the Airpods back in the charging case. Apple made the case fit snugly so theres no room for even these really thin skins.

My reviews are pretty much the same as every other review on this product. I found that the AirPods were too slippery and didn’t fit into my ears correctly, so I saw this solution on BGR and they seemed relatively cheap and have a good set of reviews, so I pulled the trigger and bought myself a red pair.I like that they add a bit of colour to the bland, white AirPods, and you could theoretically buy multiple pairs of different colours and mix and match them to your own style!I noticed an instant difference with the EarSkinz attached to my AirPods, both in sound quality and fit.I was able to vigourously shake my head and the AirPods would stay in place, and then went out for a jog and they stayed equally planted in my ears.The sound feels more I was able to vigourously shake my head and the AirPods would stay in place, and then went out for a jog and they stayed equally planted in my ears.The sound feels more bass-y, and this is probably to do with the tighter fit and therefore, less sound leakage? Just that the sound's much better!As everyone else has stated, the one downside to these is that they must be removed when storing your headphones in the charging case. This leaves an awkward situation way you have to silicon skins and nowhere to put them safely, which could lead to you losing them if you’re not careful, or forgetting them when you pick your AirPods case up to go out for the day. If anyone finds a solution to this issue, I'd love to hear it!Another problem is when you put the skins onto your AirPods, the holes must line up perfectly or you lose functionality such as the auto pause feature.However, the whole process of applying the skins to your AirPods takes no more than 20 seconds per earphone, and in my opinion, is well worth the trade-off for better fit and sound quality .

Okay, here is a no nonsense review.No they won’t fit in the case with the AirPods, yes you have to take them off in order to put the AirPods in their case. Yes it does take about 10 whole seconds to take them off and no it’s not difficult. Yes they fit the AirPods well, no they don’t interfere with the functions of the AirPods and yes the sound is the same.I’ve seen so many reviews with people moaning about having to take these off in order to put the AirPods in their case to charge. People complaining that they lost them as a result and other nonsense. If you’re clumsy or careless then yes you might lose them, you might also lose your keys or phone.Unlike other reviews I have not had any problems with Bluetooth connection or sound quality. The AirPods recognise when they are in my ears and when not. These have holes in them that line up with the ones on the AirPods, line them up properly (easily achievable within the above stated 10 seconds) and you’ll be just fine too.These fit (me) well, not too big (for my ears) and hold the AirPods securely in my ears whilst marathon training. I don’t get any of that pounding sound you can get when running with some designs of earphones.I previously tried a design that did fit inside the case. However, I found these didn’t fit that securely in my ears, and subsequently one fell out running, the cover came off and I couldn’t find it on the trail I was running. Hence why I bought these. Yes it was mildly quicker not having to put on or remove the covers before and after use, but the constant adjustments needed to stop the AirPods from falling out was a giant pain in the a***.In summary, the benefits of secure and comfortable AirPods significantly out way the need to take these on and off. They do exactly what I want them to do, simple and easy to use, no complaints. Should have bought these first time round.

They seem pricey for small bits of silicon but:Very snug fit on the AirPods themselvesEasy on/offBig improvement to how well AirPods sit and stay in my earThey improve volume and bass response by holding the AirPod more snugly in the ear.Couple of tips:Get a bright colour because you do have to remove them to charge the AirPods and if you choose black you will lose the little blighters very quickly.If you have ears that produce wax a bit too enthusiastically you will already know that even very small amounts can clog the AirPod and can cause it to appear to be faulty (the best fix means you have to suck it out ... not pleasant). These covers solve that problem by effectively stopping the wax from reaching the ‘speakers.

My AirPods sometimes feel unstable when running so I thought these would do the trick. Alas they actually make the problem worse and so I have gone back to running with my hands close to my ears...just in case!

Work well to lower outside noise and improve the bass, but you do have to take them on and off everytime you put the airpods back in their charging case.Also, if you aren't precise with the cover, it will block the sensors for them to know when you have put them into your ears and taken them out
