🧪 Elevate your filtration game—compact power that works while you relax!
The Lab Filtration Pump is a compact, electric vacuum pump designed for hands-free filtration in labs, schools, and hobbyist setups. Operating at 120V AC with a US/Canada plug, it produces a reliable low-level vacuum (80-120" H2O, 3-4 psi) to speed up filtration without manual pumping. Lightweight and slightly larger than a computer mouse, it includes an EVA carrying case for portability. Ideal for aqueous and dry vapors, it’s perfect for bench-top use but not suited for high vacuum applications or caustic chemicals.

This thing sucks
It sucks, but that’s what it’s supposed to do.

Strong enough
Works best with an all glass setup with separate filter pads. This little pump was strong enough to suck the bottom out of a plastic setup.

Super
Exactly what I wanted, very small, comparable to two cigarette packs stacked on one another, just enough pressure draw, practically silent and I like that it comes in a nice little case and with a gasket on the end of the hose to make it easier to take on or off of your instrument, I’ve broken filters trying to get the hose off before, but I doubt I have any need to worry w this!

Great for the price.
This little thing works for me perfectly. Yea it has little suction but wen you connect it to your vacuum beaker or whatever, if you let it run for a little (not even 5 minutes) the suction becomes super strong. To prove it. Connect to vacumm beaker. Place your palm over the top of the beaker making sure no air can get in and watch how strong it gets in a matter of seconds.

Worked OK for a while, but then broke after not too long
I used this for a little bit, and only used it to filter solvents that I thought it could handle, as it's almost entirely made out of cheap plastic and very thin rubber. After not too long, it stopped working completely. I took it apart and the substandard plastic/rubber valves that control the vacuum stopped sealing completely. I tried to fix it myself, but honestly, it was just a complete loss. For $40, it should be able to last a while. It was more expensive than a vacuum water aspirator and water pump combo that I thought it could replace. Bad decision.

Low to no pulling power.
Not a practical product. It has no kind of controls so you are stuck with the factory settings which has not enough pull strength.

Use with alcohol
I use this to filter isopropyl alcohol. Conserned about safety, I opened up this unit to see what kind of electromechanical devise is used to create suction. This unit uses a bellow driven by an electromagnet operating on the 60 hertz power input so there is no motor and this unit does not create any kind of spark internally or otherwise making it perfectly safe for the aforementioned task. As the maker or seller it is understandable they disclaim it for this use. Works excellently

Great little filtration vacuum
I do a lot of filtered titrations of paper pulp. Previously I have used a manual hand vacuum pump when needed, but with one hand occupied it did not allow me to hold the Büchner funnel tight until the vacuum could seal the gasket. This little pump is just what I needed. The vacuum could stand to be a little stronger, but it is enough to give me what I need and it is now an indispensable tool. It is quiet, light weight, small enough to pack in a small corner of my instrument case.
