FOR USE WITH HOMESEER 3, SMARTTHINGS, and VERA UI7: EZMultiPli enables fully automated lighting that turns on lights when you enter a room and turns them off shortly after you leave. Sophisticated lighting, audio, video and heating/cooling are enabled with the EZMultiPli three-sensors-in-one Z-Wave device. EZMultiPli is primarily intended as a motion sensor that will detect motion and send a command to up to 4 associated Z-Wave devices as well as a system controller. The other Z-Wave devices can directly control lights in a room or the motion indication can be sent to a computer for complex scene control of lighting, audio, video and heating/cooling. When motion is not detected within a preset amount of time, EZMultiPli will send an “off” command to the Z-Wave nodes to turn the lights off. In addition to the motion sensor, EZMultiPli also senses the amount of light in the room as well as the current temperature. The color LED light within EZMultiPli is a convenient night light or can be used as an indicator light to let you know if the weather forecast is predicting rain, your garage doors are open or any other indicator supported by your home control application. EZMultiPli is wall powered - no wires or batteries. Simply plug EZMultiPli into the wall, join the Z-Wave network and you’re ready to go. The optional screw tabs permanently affix the sensor into either a standard or a decorator wall outlet commonly used with GFCI circuits. No worrying about someone accidentally removing the sensor and forgetting to re-install it. An elder parent can’t easily remove the sensor if they forget why it is there. Z-Wave is a wireless mesh-networking protocol for reliable, intelligent home control of all Z-Wave compatible devices. Z-Wave devices can act as repeaters to create a mesh-network to ensure reliable communication regardless of the manufacturer or type of device. This product can be included and operated in any Z-Wave network with other Z-Wave certified devices.

Unique Device due to AC power. Awkward to integrate with SmartThings
I bought this device because it was the only multisensor I could find that plugs into the wall. I don't like battery-powered devices because of the burden of battery maintenance. I have a SmartThings v2 hub and had some concerns because it is not officially supported. When I tried to add it to the hub, it kept being detected as an RGBW light bulb. Even after I loaded the device handler from Github, it continued to be detected as the RGBW. Finally, I added the device letting it be detected as the light bulb and then went into the SmartThings API portal (h tee tee pe ess colon forward slash forward slash graph dot api dot smartthings dot com) and changed the device type there to the EZMultiPli device handler I had loaded previously. It seems to be working OK now. I was able to add it to Automation as a motion sensor and as a light. Using Automation, I was able to get it to detect motion and turn on its LED and then turn off its LED when it detected no motion. Haven't played with the other sensor parameters like temperature, and light intensity, but it does seem to report them correctly. For some reason, under the My Home display, the EZMultiPli shows the temperature as its status whereas my Aeon Multisensor reports motion or no motion. I don't see any way to change it. I'd prefer it report motion. Of course it would be much better if it were officially supported by SmartThings so it would be detected correctly. It's a bit of an awkward journey to get it working with SmartThings, but it is serving my purposes, so it's a keeper.

Unique but Confusing Device
[edits] I honestly don't know how to rate this thing. In the hands of a knowledgeable user it is: a Motion sensor, a Temperature sensor, a Light sensor, a Z-wave Range Extender, and a variable colour (but really low power) light. The thing is, the average user would never be able to make it do all these things, because the documentation that came with it is abysmal and making multi-sensors work in Z-wave systems is not for the feint of heart (not the fault of Express Controls). Even with the very detailed on line instructions (not referred to in the bit of paper that came with the thing), one needs to be a bit of a hacker to understand how to make this work.I'm going with 4-star because it does what I want it to do on my SmartThings (ST) system...that is give me the temperature in my cottage without relying on batteries. But, even doing that was not a simple as it should have been. First, when pairing it on the ST hub, it came up as a multi-colour indicator light. That threw me, because I did not know that it would work as one. As this is a Homeseer HSM200 under a different name, ST-2 hub has the necessary driver to make some of the other functions work, but one does not know that from the instructions. One needs to know how to change the ST device Type to 'HomeSeer Multisensor', also not something everyone knows how to do. When it is done, the device now will report on motion, temperature and amount of light sensed. But, it will no longer operate as a coloured light. There are apparently third party drivers, but I could not figure out how to install them, nor do I know if they would result in all the functions working simultaneously. Update: I figured out how to make the 3rd party driver work. It seems to do everything, including control the light. Why Samsung does not make this the standard published driver for this device and it's Homeseer twin is a mystery. So, if you are all thumbs this thing is 1 or 2-star. If you are a techie who can make it do what you want, it's a terrific little gadget...4-star even. If you are an experimenter or gadget freak I'd even go to 5-star, as nothing I've seen in the Z-wave market place comes remotely close to doing everything this sensor does.

Great one of a kind Z-Wave device
Device works perfectly with smartthings, nor sure what the other reviewer is doing. There is a community device type that I helped with that makes this device rock solid. I highly recommend it.If works with SmartApps that set color, and you can fine tune it with temperature offset and the motion off report timer. Temperature and motion are extremely accurate and reliable. Will probably buy a few more.

This is a cool little device
This is a cool little device, I use it as a bathroom night light and motion detector. I plan to have it turn on the bathroom light at night when motion is detected. The ability to customize the light color is nice and I plan to use that to reflect the security alarm status.

Great product. Synced with Smart Things without an issue
Smart things found this device instantly. This unit is my most reliable zwave device on my network.Update: after several months this is still the best sensor I have.

Smartthings Status
It worked with Smartthings and allow me to show different color for the status of the system.

Works perfect with smartthings.
Worked with smartthings Fast shipping too. I received package plugged it in and it connected to my hub and it found the device handler and worked right away. I use the light to remind me if I leave garage door open after sunset and the motion sensor covers an entryway. Perfect I may pick up a few more.

Nice small outlet motion sensor, with temp
Plugs into an outlet, no need to worry about batteries. It also gives me the temperature if I go into the app and look.
