Edit: 6/25/23 - I wanted to address some reviews I recently read about: -This silicone is very thin and runny which is exactly what you want to flow into the details of your object. -Also this is not a brush on silicone and should be not used for such applications. -Using this in the summer/ higher temps (80F+) will cause this silicone to cure faster than the stated time EDIT: 1/8/24 update - Still my favorite silicone to date. Extremely cost effective and has great shore hardness & elongation. I saw a 1 star video review stating that the silicone does not cure but the user was using 3d printed RESIN which contains SULFUR and WILL CAUSE CURE INHIBITION to platinum cure silicone. DO NOT DO THIS. Platinum cure silicone will not cure when in contact Sulphur. Also this is not a paid review, I make and cast sculptures full time for a living and this has been the most hassle-free and reliable silicone I've ever used.

Self degassing is a joke. This stuff appears to be smooth on the outside but was full of micro bubbles inside the mold where it counts. This stuff is also not meant for large molds. Made some decent sized molds and it took an extreme amount of effort to remove my items I was molding as the bigger the mold, the less flexibility you get. I probably should have realized that before I purchased but gave it a shot anyway. I did give one star as it’s easy to mix and no odor but I most likely won’t try this again. If you do purchase, make sure to degas or you WILL have micro bubbles inside. It was also very greasy inside the mold. I let it sit for 24 hours and mixed it very precisely so that shouldn’t have been an issue. Edited: 1 out of 5 of my first batch of molds (the molds in the previous review) did come out perfect so I decided to purchase more to try this again. This time my molds came out perfect. I don’t know what went wrong with the first batch as I weighed and measured it out very precisely, must have been a defective batch. I’m changing my rating to a 4 as all the subsequent batches from different bottles came out right. I will add, my molds were quite thick and I cut pieces that had cured correctly of the bad mold (not the parts that didn’t) and layered them in the gaps in my box to keep from having to pour so much and the new batches bonded to them perfectly without gaps. That kept me from wasting so much in the dead spaces from the irregular shapes of the items I was trying to mold.

I was in a pinch and needed to have a mold made in a hurry, and my usual Smooth-On delivery would take too long, and I bought this on sale. The price seemed good, but what I foolishly didn't realize is that the price per volume us actually more expensive than far superior brands like Smooth-On. The quality seems decent however, and the mold was successful and had no inhibition problems. The boast of not requiring a vacuum chamber isn't quite true as I see many tiny bubbles despite the silicone being low-viscosity before its cure. Verdict: In a hurry and want the convenience of Amazon's great shipping time, this silicone will do fine. If you are not in a hurry, buy something better, it will be cheaper more than likely!
