A cold hardy winter cover that will withstand frozen soil if allowed to establish properly in the fall.  It prefers well drained soil but can withstand some what wet conditions.  Fixes large quantities of nitrogen and produces a great deal of green manure.  Best when used in a cereal/legume cover mix.  Sow 40 pounds per acre, 1 inch deep.
