Basically, the reason why I got this item is because people kept leaving the door open and the door in particular made it so that my cats could easily get out and that is not something that I will ever allowed to happen so I got this item and it has tremendously helped. I used both so that the door would kind of slam shut no matter where The door was left. One person in particular started not shutting doors after we complained that they were slamming doors and it was just obnoxious to slam doors in the house shared with other people because some people are sleeping and it’s just a rude thing to do in general so they started just leaving the doors open And never shutting any door that they walked into unless it was their room and they were in it, but if they left, they’d leave their door open. Very dirty person as well so we didn’t want the cats in there anyway long story short side works great.

Works great. I have a tendency to forget to close the sliding screen door if my hands are full allowing the flies to get in but with these door closers , the screen just slides shut.

So it worked great, I'm only deducting a star because it's not very durable. I opened the door a bit too far today without thinking and it just broke entirely. It won't retract anymore. I'm getting a replacement though bc my cat finally can't open the door that won't latch.

Just right for my patio screen door that the kids forget to close! Not too much resistance to open. Mounted box on siding and used a screw to secure the loop. I'm trying some padding in the frame slot (pic) to lessen the noise on closing.

I am really happy with these.Easy to install, adhesive works great, and helps keep doors closed from our furry friend.I love the fact that it's easy to disengage when you don't want the store to close automatically.It would be ideal if it could be a little gentler closing, but it still deserves five stars.Solves A real issue at our house inexpensively, and with ease.I'll order another four.

Works great but I wish there was a way to reduce the intensity. These things jump scare you on first usage when using them on cabinets. Perfect for doors though.

String to tight

This product was purchased to hold open window awnings. The awnings where 1/2 plywood in a 20x20 square. This is not the purpose of the item and it did not work. My suggestion is to only use the items as intended and you should be very pleased.These devices are very well built and I firmly believe they would work closing a screen door or barn door style door. The cabling is sturdy and the retraction mechanism would easily handle a hollow core door or screen door. I also believe they would be a great way to hold an interior door closed to prevent cats and small dogs from opening the door.The items where retuned by UPS 3 days after receipt. AS of 1/18/25; 3 weeks after returning I still have not seen the credit to my account. This maybe an issue with Amazon billing or Shimido shipping and receiving or accountings.Please see this as objective. The closures will work just fine for the advertised purpose. I might suggest getting a small coffee cup hook instead of the glue on hooks that are provide.
