Armadillo Rodeo

We love all of Jan Brett's books! Full of her beautiful illustrations and a fun, original plot, this is a cute book about an armadillo who due to his poor vision has an adventure following a young girls in cowboy boots. Great use of language in this picture book.

Cute story, good writing, beautiful illustrations. There is one mention of a “rebel yell” which we choose to swap to “wild yell” because we don’t care for casting the historical associations in a positive light for such young children

This is a great book. My children loved it, especially when their aunt read it using a Texas accent.

We love reading this book to our little ones. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is so fun! Jan Brett is a fabulous author! Everyone should have a copy on their bookshelf.

Gave as a gift and my son loves it! Huge Armadillo fan.

My kids love this book. The illustrations are beautifully done as you can expect from a Jan Brett book and the story is adorable. They particularly like the end where the little armadillo is discovering they his “friend” he is following is not another armadillo. I learned something about armadillos from this book and I like that there is a message of unconditional love from the mom at the end. I do sort of wish the wandering armadillo had some sort of consequence once he got home from wandering all day.

Bought for family member and a cute book as a gift

Purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my niece and she loves it. The illustrations are wonderful! I currently live in the area the story is set and it's a nice way for my niece to be able to relate with me.
