I have bought other brands and haven't been too pleased. This one seems to trap smaller insects and zaps them quickly. It does what it states. I can't say much for it standing capabilities. We have way too much commotion going on for something like to stay standing so we hang it up. Works for us.

Before you buy this, if you're looking for some small and quiet zapper to put in the baby room, DON'T This does zap loud, but it kills them. I originally brought it because I saw TWO buzzing around (gnats) and didn't want them to possibly breed. Again thought I had two but when the night was over 10 were killed. I have to buy another one, because I was so good a family member to took it for their garage.

Yes you can kill insects with this thing and yes it is fun. What is misleading is that the description suggests that you can use it passively where insects will be attracted to it's purple light and fly into the mesh and then wham. That dog won't hunt.You have to use this device with skill as you would a traditional fly swatter but it has some advantages and also some disadvantages. First for killing tiny fruit flies it is the only game in town and you can kill 3 or 4 with one swat. It would be useful enough just for that.Bigger flies are hard to kill. Young flies are usually too fast to just casually swat in mid air so you have to use some new techniques. Sometimes you can get the swatter over a standing fly and it will have no choice but to fly up and into the mesh. The other technique I use is to be ready to swat with my swatting hand and then scare the fly with the other. Then you can swat the fly just after takeoff when it is most vulnerable.If nothing else it will impress your friends. Happy with my purchase.

There is nothing better than hearing the "CrAcK!!" when a bug hits this thing. Or going after a menacing mosquito with it. I love that I can leave it on the stand for passive bug zapping or hold it and go after them.

I love this squatter great for people with a lot of plants or stores fruit outside the fridge. It loud but that is too let you know.. Got'dem!

I always loved these fly rappers and bought them often. They always worked so well until my last 2. I returned the last one because it was always making noise off or on and randomly zapping at the edge. They sent me a new one that worked a couple of months but just randomly stopped working. Was their a bad shipment? I don't know but they never broke like those in the past unless it was my fault which is why I buy them all the time in the first place lol. I guess I need to find a better seller who has products that work 🤔

We were surprised to see how many bugs were drawn to the blue light… Great for outside relaxing by the fire, and doubles as a flyswatter inside! Perfect to be able to take with you from room to room, and I like that there are no batteries involved being able to charge it, is a win!
