Magnetic Fireplace Blanket

This is an amazing product! I put this up and noticed a difference right away. It was so simple to put up, the magnets are really strong and well placed. My husband was skeptical until he walked into our LR this morning, no draft! It also looks great! We should have bought this last year!

The cover worked perfectly. I ordered a 38x31 blanket for my fireplace, which has an outer metal dimensions of 37.5 x 32, and an opening of 36 x 19 3/8. The fit horizontally was perfect even though blanket is .5 in wider than the exposed metal, you really can't tell its a little wide plus the magnetic are recessed from the edge. The vertical dimension is a little short but the cover covers up the vents and opening, which is the source of the cold air. The magnets are strong and stick well. We noticed an instant difference in the room temperature and drafts. I wish I would have bought this years ago.

I couldn’t be happier with the Magnetic Fireplace Blanket. Hands down, it’s the best draft stopper I’ve ever used. Installation was simple, it sits flush, and once it’s in place, it actually works—no more cold air sneaking in through the fireplace. I previously used a wool circular chimney stopper for several years, and while it was decent, this magnetic blanket is clearly superior. The seal is tighter, it feels more secure, and it does a far better job at blocking drafts. I noticed the difference almost immediately, especially on windy days when cold air used to pour in. What really stands out is how practical it is. It’s easy to remove and reinstall when needed, and it doesn’t feel like a temporary or flimsy solution. This feels like a well-thought-out, long-term fix. If you’re serious about stopping fireplace drafts and improving energy efficiency, this is the one. I wouldn’t go back to any other option.

Product arrived promptly & well-packaged. Product's size, weight & overall description was "as advertised". Powerful magnets hold fireplace blanket in place & appears to be of good quality. Will need to measure the dimensions of your fireplace opening to order correct size (multiple size options available). The blanket looks good & keeps fireplace drafts at bay. Very easy to install & can be easily taken off/on. Price was fair. Would recommend this product to anyone in need of fireplace protection/weatherproofing.

This works great! Used on my brothers fireplace, the magnets work well, strong enough to hold the cover so it doesn’t slip. The draft ended the minute we put it on. Keeps the cold and wind out. It’s a well made product, multiple sizes, so just make sure you take the time to measure correctly. It’s true to size.

Our home’s previous owners seem to have rendered our gas fireplace as unusable until we can get parts replaced, and I noticed a major draft coming through during a recent cold snap. This magnetic cover is the perfect solution! We have a stone face to the fireplace so the width was a bit tricky - 44” would’ve been ideal, but that wasn’t an option. I chose the 45” width and it fits well enough! We have a little lip on the top portion of the metal frame and the cover fits over that, too. So far, it’s keeping the draft out and the room is noticeably warmer. We’ll see how it does when it starts getting really cold. It has solid construction and the magnets adhere well to the metal frame. The black color makes the cover blend in well; recent visitors didn’t even notice it until we pointed it out.

I highly recommend this fireplace cover. This product is amazing! I have been dealing with a drafty fireplace since moving into my house 4 yrs ago. I had no idea products like this existed. It truly has been wonderful to sit on the couch and not be facing the cold drafts. Now, I would say 95% of the drafts have been eliminated. My glass door handles are at the bottom of the glass doors and not in the middle so it is a bit difficult to get the bottom magnets to attach over them. Just a bit of cold air can be detected. I don't think this would be an issue for doors with knobs/handles in the middle. I pushed the dog bed up close with his stuffed toys blocking the bottom edge to address this. Again, I have handles, not knobs, which are at the bottom which I think is the cause of bit of cold coming in due to an imperfect seal. I like the quality of the cover, the multiple magnets versus other brands with fewer ones and the material which will puff after a while. (It comes in a vacuum-sealed bag.) The edges are trimmed as well. Overall, I am very happy with its performance. No more drafts!

I wish I'd known about these fireplace covers four years ago. We've been fighting a draft from our fireplace every winter, losing tons of money on our heat going right up through the flue. Finally got tired of the cold air and overheating the living room in the cooler months and found this cover on Amazon. I am beyond satisfied with this fireplace cover. I bought the 38x31 and it fit perfectly. I was a little bit concerned because my fireplace has uneven brick all around it, but this cover fit like a glove and was able to cover the entire fireplace no problem. The inside of the fireplace is 36 in wide, and the 38 fit it perfectly because of where the magnets were placed. The quality of this cover is extraordinary, and keeps all the cold air out. I can't believe when people say it's "too thin" or the magnets are "weak". This is absolutely not true. The cover is a really nice quilt design and the magnets are so strong they should be taken off one at a time. This is a quality design, strong magnets, and I have absolutely no regrets. Thank you for making such an excellent product!

Works perfectly and as described. Size is ideal for my fireplace and the strong magnets snap easily into place on the fireplace frame. I have an older fireplace, so the metal frame goes completely around is able to attract the magnets. Winter drafts are now solved and I'm very happy with this purchase

The sizing worked out perfectly. The magnets are fairly strong it's never going to fall off accidentally. It works well since the draft from the direct vent fireplace has greatly reduced. The blanket seems to have a decent R value since it's not cold to the touch even when the other side of the blanket is at 0°C. The main issue is that really they should have doubled the number of magnets or even trippled them or opted for some kind of continuous strip of magnetic material. Or they make it poofy between each magnet instead of tapering at the edges. That's because without a continuous strip the gaps between each magnets still leak a bit of air, mostly noticeable around the sides and not so much the top and bottom. Even when pulled taut to make the sides completely wrinkle free.

Material is about 3/4 in thick, so not bad. A bit thicker would be perfect but it certainly cuts the drafts as designed. It has magnets every 8" or so which are quite powerful but do leave little gaps here and there. Strip magnets or more of the round ones would be a bit better but again it does the job and looks quite nice. I got the largest one to make sure it would fit, keep in mind when sizing that the magnets are an inch or so back from the edge and you may need to turn the edge over to get the proper side of the magnet to stick.. so give yourself a couple of extra inches all around to ensure you can stick it properly. Certainly this is good value for money.

This is a fantastic product and it really works! Keeps drafts out of the room making it more comfy and cozy.
