The perfect replacement!
**EDIT** I would just like to say that in my primary review, my only tiny complaint was that the cover was not as durable as I would like..3/4 through a semester and the notebook cover can look pretty ragged. On my last order, one of the two notebooks came with 5 (count em' FIVE!) card stock covers before you even get to the pocket cover. I find this comical and very amusing. This has only reaffirmed my allegiance to this notebook of superior quality.I had been using another MEAD quadrille graph notebook for a couple years for note-taking in my science classes (mostly math and chemistry) but was a little bummed to find the grid-lines suddenly appeared to be darker (the very reason I had been using the product was because of its paler lines)I was very happy when these arrived. The grid-lines are unobtrusive and the paper seems to be of good quality (doesn't tear when using a heavy eraser). I was also happy to find there is a small "pocket folder" behind the main cover, great for holding a course syllabus (although I wouldn't cram too much into this folder).Perforated edges for nice, clean tears. This was very pleasing.I use 0.9mm lead and it shows up great on this paper. There is no blurring of pen/pencil stroke vs. grid-line, which is why this notebook will be perfect for me this upcoming semester. If I could suggest one minor improvement, I would like to see the cover made a bit more durable. I have no doubt it would easily protect most of the pages during a light rain or snow, but the cover is made of a card-stock-like material.I should mention the cover pictured is one of two covers, behind the pictured cover is a professional looking black cover with a simple blue stripe near the bottom edge with "Cambridge" centered. I labeled over this as it seemed a nice place to distinguish which notebook was for which class (I bought two). If you were to leave both covers on (they are made of the same material) it may offer a bit more protection, but I am not too worried about this affecting the quality of this notebook.

My go-to notebook
Perfect notebook - I've bought this multiple times and will continue to replenish as I fill up the pages. For context: I'm a full-time working professional in corporate strategy with a Fortune 500 company.- Appearance: the cover can be torn off to reveal a plain, black glossy cover, which is perfect for carrying into a meeting without being flashy or juvenile, as many spiral notebooks are- Back Cover: using a ruler, it appears the back cardboard is about 4.5mm in thickness. In other words, I can walk and write and it does not bend at all- Pages: the perforation lets me tear out pages perfectly. And, excellent foresight - the notebook itself is slightly larger than 8.5x11 paper because once the page is torn out, it's exactly the same size as copier paper. Other notebooks are 8.5x11, but the paper itself when torn out is smaller than copier paper and gets lost in a stack.- Grid: the lines are not terribly bold but very standard. By the way, as an OCD person, I do have to mention that at the edges, it does not end exactly at the end of a grided box, but not even Clairefontaine notebooks do this so it's fine.- Bleeding: Yes, when I use a felt tip or a gel ink pen, it does bleed through the paper. I prefer to use one side so when I walk and write, people can't see my other notes (confidentiality purposes), so it's not a problem for me.Very highly recommend.

Spiral + Graphing paper = Finally happy
There are some things in life that people would never believe just how difficult they are to find. One of them is a spiral notebook with graphing paper.... Why can't local Walmart, Target or Kroger's carry them in quantities similar to the college ruled ones so we don't have to order them? I may never know, but thankfully they can be ordered at all. The yellow color may throw some people off, but if you do your work well, then your professors are sure to remember the color (unfortunately, the opposite may be true as well for those who slack off). The color, however, is by no means a deal breaker and I have gotten used to it right after packing it into my bookbag. The pages are thicker than the flimsy three ring binder bundles available in most stores, so they will tear along the perforated line instead of ripping into the paper. I wish the squares were smaller, but they are standard American sized (German Hefte typically have smaller squares, but that is the only comparison I know). Overall, I am extremely happy with the purchase. It greatly facilitates taking notes in class with the respective equations by adding those extra vertical lines that college ruled books lack. Price could be lower, but I have seen more expensive ones, too. This is well worth it.
