Nice pick, premium features and premium pick for a great price
These are great picks, and are a premium pick but they don't cost as much as a premium pick. Has a mellow, darker sound do to its thickness, has a great texture for grip yet it is comfortable, has two different points shapes, one that is a larger rounded shape like on mandolin style picks, and two smaller ones that are like the rounded corner of a 351 pick. These picks are very stiff, and lightweight. You cannot go wrong with these fro electric guitar. I didn't use them on an acoustic guitar so I don't know how they sound on one, I used it on my Stratocaster and my Telecaster type guitars.

Excellent mandolin pick
This is a good mandolin pick that compares favorably with the Golden Gate mando picks. I like both and use whichever one happens to be at hand. These are really nice and smooth. I like all of teh Pro Plec picks and use them for both mando and guitar. Be advised that they do produce a very thick tone, so if you like that sound, the Pro Plecs are your picks!

Too muted
Too rounded. Very muted attack on the strings unless you hit them hard with it.

My 'go to'... after LOTS of searching and mostly tail chasing
Guaranteed: everyone's different. We're all seeking our own unique deal. Maybe not the pick for everyone (or for all styles.) Almost certainly not in fact. But for me... in playing mainstream jazz... this one's the nuts. Having searched extensively over the decades... nothing IME surpasses this pick for a warmer, thicker, fuller (dare I say 'buttery') tone. This also happens to be the quietest pick material that I've ever stumbled onto (Italian sourced acetate.) If click and chirp is something you as well feel you're more naturally allergic to... this is what you're after as a solution. So much time and money thrown at experimenting around. Heaps of materials, shapes, tip profiles, varying thicknesses, beveled or not that have been mucked with. My head wags at all I did, have done and forked over in this realm chasing things. Yet after all this time and effort ~ this still remains 'my go to pick.' It winds up being the one that lands closest to a fingerstyle tone. This 1.5 mm thickness is perfect as a happy medium IME. You have comparatively very little to lose in trying a bag of these picks. * Sticking a couple MonsterGrips on this pick completely ended any fumbling or dropping the pick in toggling back and forth between picking and plucking fingerstyle at will.

Very good tone (easy to control) , Pro Plec 351 slightly better tone (harder to control).
PRO-385 Pro Plec is a very good pick with excellent full body tone. However, the PRO-351 Pro Plec has slightly better jazz tone. While both picks are made of the same material and have the same thickness, the 351 has a much smoother surface, slips off the string with less friction noise... and therefore lets your guitar to the talking and not the pick. However, the difference is very slight... but perhaps is something important if you are looking for the best tone. I suspect that if you buff the 385 on a buffing machine, the best tone will to to the 385. Some pros buff their picks upon delivery for this very reason. However, the 285 is bigger and may be easier to control and offer more tonal options once they are buffed.

Excellent picks for the mandolin
I've purchased them before. Very nice picks. They're one of my favorites.

Picks Do Make a Difference
I am a mandolin player. I have been playing Dawg picks for the most part. These picks are similar to the Golden Gate's. Considering the price for the alternatives these will do nicely. Whether I am playing a tenor guitar, Mando banjo, mandola, or my oval hole mandolins, these will fit the bill. And, BTW, the price is exceptional too.

Rounded plectrum extra thick produces the right tone for an acoustic archtop guitar

These plectrums are not the high quality as described. I’ve returned my order and still waiting for refund
