Fast Drive and formats / works as expected.There is a little orange light that pulsates just to let you know that the device is working.This unit does NOT come with a screw or a mother board base to mount it to , so ensure that you have one from the MOBO Vendor or buy one separately. Size is as expected and I have not seen any noise or issues.Connected to the MoBo easily as well.Got it during Prime Days so I would say great value for the 2TB.

Super-fast transfer speeds are nice. Large 2TB capacity ensures years of extra storage. Have been a loyal WD Black buyer for a decade. Big fan of these high quality, fast, reliable drives. Drive's performance is as advertised. Good price for the amount of storage. The only issue is the heatsink. I recommend getting the version of this without it if you ever think you may need to put it in an external enclosure (some have built in or are space-constrained), or if your motherboard has one built in, which honestly is the majority of use cases since most motherboard's have a built in bracket these days. Extracting this drive from the heatsink is a bit risky. First, you'll need a small Torx bit (it was a T2 or T3, I can't remember which). When you try to extract it, the thermal pad is sticky, and the metal housing is a bit too tight width-wise. It doesn't slide out, it has to be lifted. There's an uncomfortable amount of bending, even if you apply even pressure slowly. It pops out in a way that can give one pause. Not a really good design. Pretty unnecessary. I did manage to get it out without damaging it though. I would give the non-heatsink version of this drive 5 stars, but this one gets 4.
