I never thought that a child lock for sliding doors existed and if it did I wasn't sure how well it would work but, I was desperate enough to try. I thought that even if this lock worked, how would it work to keep both doors locked in place. Before this lock, my daughter would go into her walk in closet and take all of her clothes off the shelves. She would also climb on this plastic dresser inside her closet that really made me nervous. It's safe to say that since installing this safety lock she cannot get into her closet. The lock does work for both doors. The flat side of the lock is what keeps the doors from being slid open. The flat side acts like a door jam for the door that is against it. The other sliding door opposite the flat end is kept from being open because if you try to slide it open it pushes the flat end against the door that it's facing. Installation is simple and easy. I wiped the area that I want to place it in with alcohol and let it dry. Afterwards, it was as simple as peeling the cover and placing the adhesive close to the edge of the door. I held it in place for about 2 minutes and let it set for a day. Then the next day I simply pushed the latch down to slide it open and closed the door and lift the latch when done. The lock is small and slender so it doesn't get in the way of the door opening and closing. The only concern is that the plastic lever may not hold over time because it's plastic.

Buy them. They work. Easy to install. Super good adhesive.

It's a simple stop, not a heavy duty security stop, but good enough for child-proofing a sliding door from a toddler.

Perfect in all aspects. Very thin so it doesn’t get in the way of the door opening. Adhesive works great on our textured wood sliding closet doors. Easy to open and keep closed. Great product

Works great from the inside. It will also occasionally kick itself up when you close the door from the outside, and now you're locked out of your house. I'm stuck outside, writing this review while I wait for my wife who never answers her phone to get curious about where I am

Easy to use and install

We have sliding closet doors that are thick wood super durable & heavy. My son loves to slam them in his room (he’s 3) for fun & it drove me crazy not to mention I was worried about damage. I put 2 of them on the middle where the doors meet and one overlaps the other and it worked!! I probably didn’t need two but I had two so I figured why not. These doors are super heavy and thick so these little gadgets are super strong!! 10/10 recommend I will be ordering more 😊

Only bought two as I was unsure hou they would work on my wardrobe sliding doors. They keep my little monster out so I'll be buying more

Best product for sliding wardrobe doors . I’ve used different ones and don’t really work . This one is just right 👍

The rubber bit got torn up by the door pretty quick but it still works well, it also gets a little bit caught inside the wall when opening or closing the door but that might just be my sliding doors issue. In the end of the day though it keeps my cats out of my bird room and the mechanism is very strong so it works
