reduces fatigue and helps with carpal tunnel pain when riding
I ordered the XL version of the grips, and I'm glad I did. The factory grips on my Giant Trance Advanced were very thin, and most of the texture had worn off, requiring a replacement. I ready dozens of articles and reviews of various grips on the market, and decided to go with the Loams. I often find myself having to have out my hands on rides, and almost always end up having a tingling and numbness for hours after a ride. Some research led me to going with a fatter grip than the stock Giant Lock-ons. Once installed, I could immediately feel a difference. The grip felt a little fatter, but not so much that it seemed unusual. The rubber compound offers a lot of purchase on the bars, and the texture is pleasant when riding without gloves. I do ride with gloves nearly all the time, and they also grip extremely well when wearing them. About an hour into a ride, I'm usually feeling the need to shake my hands out to relieve some pain. With the new grips installed, I wasn't feeling that anywhere near as soon. I do have issues with carpal tunnel syndrome, and I believe the fatter grip helped prevent that from being aggravated as quickly.I would like to see the grip include protective end caps, since I sometimes load the bit in the bed of my truck, and occasionally do wreck.I haven't had the grips installed long enough to observe any damage from doing so yet, and maybe it will not be an issue at all. Something I did notice is the grips do not slide on as far as the factory grips, so there was more of a gap between the grip and levers. Overall, it widened the bars by around 3/4 of an inch compared to the original setup. If I notice any trouble getting used to the position f the levers, I'll move them closer to the grips, or if I really like the grips and plan on replacing them with the same thing in the future, I may shorten the bars a bit to tighten things up. So far, it's not enough of a difference to change the way the bike handles on the trails.Overall, I'm very happy to have chosen these grips. They feel great, look good, and come at a reasonable price point. With two sizes and many colors to choose from, it's not hard to find a combination to suit most people's needs. They seem to make my ride less troublesome to my hands.

If you stumbled upon this review, you need these grips!
Not only is the color great the grip is unreal. The feel in your hand is absolutely incredible. They are substantially beefy too which I prefer over skinny grips. Super easy to install and amazing quality. Everyone that sees my grips wants to know what kind they are so they can order. If you have a bike then you need these.

Comfy, Grippy, and Good Looking!
I first got these grips due to a hand injury and my shop recommending thicker grips. I am now on my third pair and love them for the key points below.1. The Extra Large thickness helps to mitigate fatigue and reduce vibrations.2. They are super tacky and the rubber compound stays grippy for a long time.3. There is a very slight flange at the collar, and that helps to provide a stop to keep my hands from sliding around too much.4. They come in tons of colors:)

Nice grip upgrade!
I got these for my new pedal assist e-bike and love them! I got the XL and they're slightly thicker than stock. I felt that my numbness in my hands on long rides have improved since the upgrade.Kind of pricy, but they were worth it.

better than supacush
These are better than my deity supacush grips, i was using these at the bike park for a while before i got the deitys and they felt great but I didn't know how much better they were until i swapped over to the supacush and had one of the sorest ride and major arm pump. i put the loam grips XL back on and the change was night and day. bought a 2nd pair immediately they do seem the wear out and get beat up much faster than other grips but the comfort is worth it.

Best grips I have found!
Great grip/feel on these grips. And xl wide diameter fits my hands nicely, reducing numbness.

Comfortable for larger hands
Been riding thinner grips for the last year or so and needed some new grips for the upcoming season. Decided to give the XL model a try and like the way they feel. A bit more cushioning for the hands but more importantly to me the diameter makes for a better feel overall for my larger hands. Install as with all lock on grips was very easy. I do wish they made a version that had solid bar end plugs available but that is more a wish list item than anything that affects its performance. Will purchase again when these wear out, PNW just plain makes great parts.
