Perfect for what I needed
This is my second time purchasing this product. My son lost my first one, but it was good quality and worked just fine for over 2 years until he lost it. The adapter does what it's supposed to do. Never had any issues. Great value for the money.

Leviton has long been my go-to brand for all electrical hardware.
Always dependable, would never take the risk of generic brands when it involves electrical work.

Works as advertised, but be gentle
I needed to install some additional lighting in my garage, and so decided to try these out. They work as advertised, but the aluminum threads are very light weight. However, they should work for most purposes, just be gentle with them and don't try to support 10lbs of cord and light from them.Based on how they feel, overtightening would not result in anything good. As you're threading it in, once it initially seats, I recommend at most a 1/16th turn to tighten. For most applications, excessive tightening wouldn't offer benefits anyway. If they used thicker aluminum or steel threads, I feel like it might be a 5-star product.

Simple way to add outlets where you need them the most
Initially, I got this to use in my bathroom because the outlet is in a tough to reach place. But the light fixture extended too far and it covered the outlet. So I use it in my laundry room and it's perfect because I can have my phone nearby when I'm doing laundry now that I have an outlet to plug in my phone charger. I'll upload photos when I get home so you can see what type of fixture this plug is, or isn't compatible with. Otherwise, both outlets work fine and provide ample power to charge 2 devices simultaneously. But keep in mind that the outlets only work when the light is turned on. Once you turn off the light, the outlets are also cut off from power. I wish there was a way around that, but it makes sense that it would work this way.

DIY solution to lack of outlets
My store room was too dark and adding glaring high lumen LED just couldn’t distribute the light better than the blinding sun of a single bulb. All the corners were still dark. I didn’t know this solution existed until my neighbor installed Halloween lights without extension cords everywhere and showed me she was using this screwed into her porch light socket. In my store room, I am using this to add another light in the rafters plugged into the original light fixture and using the standard second light plug in cord. Two lights, no electrician, done.

Works great for what I needed!
I moved into a new house out of state (work), and I wanted to have more light in the garage and basement work area, knowing full well that I'd never get money back out of the house for these upgrades. Thought I'd wire plugs into my work lights (cheap Flourescent enclosures with LED tubes) and hang them by a short chain, and simply plug them into these socket adapters. Doing so allows me to take the lights with me, since they are not technically "part of the house" - when I move back to my home state in a couple years, I can take my 4 lights with me, and reuse them in my new home. Cheap way to save some cash down the road for anyone in a similar situation, or simply wants some flexibility with moving lighting around.

If you have no outdoor outlets, but have an outdoor light - Get one, or two :-)
I don't have any outdoor plugs at the front of my house, and I like to put up Christmas lights on my front porch, I've used one of these for years, and mine finally kicked the bucket and I needed a new one. So during the holiday season my porch light has no light bulb in it, just this, and my lights plugged into it, but after the holidays I put the bulb back in, and keep this plugged in all year long, because I use it over the summer as well, to charge my lap top, while I'm out on the front porch, and even for my bug zapper to be plugged into while I'm on the porch.I like that all I have to do is remove a light bulb, Screw this into it's spot and when I'm ready put the light bulb into this. and I can use my porch light switch to turn my Christmas lights (or what ever I've got plugged in) on and off.

Works well!
Simple and easy to use. My only complaint is that there is no ground for a 3 pronged plug but I'm sure that's because of the type of socket more than a product limitation. I use this in a wall sconce on my covered, outdoor patio, and it has seen temperatures as high at 49 degrees celcius and below 20 degrees celcius with no issues running power for security cameras and running an LED smart bulb.
