Q: How long does the steam eye mask take to heat?

I.thougt they were suppose to start heating as you opened them.After 3 w absolutely NO warmth I put one it the microwave on 1 min.but took out at about 15 sec. It was smoking!! And No Stem at All. In my opinion these could be dangerous..threw out the rest!

Q: Which scent is best? Torn between lavender, rosé & chamomile

I love the chamomile. The lavender smells like baby powder to me.

Q: how heat is generated, is there a chemical in the pad that gets activated after exposure to air? like some muscular pain patches. how safe is this?

There is a sheet heating pad in the layering of the mask. I do not believe there are chemicals but I would suggest you write to the makers. I haven't had any problems with it not being safe.

Sure, it is single package, and it is safe, portable and convenient, the travel essential in my eye
