This 55-gallon drum top remover works great, Easy to use and of good quality, makes / leaves clean cut and i would classify as a heavy-duty tool and NOT cheap one Would recommend and built to last. Even on semi dented drum top it had no problem making a good cut ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

As promisded....UPDATE.....April 2024 More than 200 drums later and this item is still going strong. The brass head refuses to rust 😉. Just oil the hinges now and then and it works perfectly. Honestly, for 200 dollars I was expecting more, but it does get the job done and I only need to sell about 20 barrels for it to pay for itself. We'll see if it holds up over time. May write another follow up review next year or after a few hundred barrels ;)

I was looking at higher dollar ones, but if you don't have large quantities of drums to dehead, this works well. it takes some time and alittle muscle, but I found it perfect my application.

This is very easy to use. The edges are smooth when done... nothing to hammer down to lie flat or anything. It takes me about 2 minutes to cut a top off a metal drum. I am glad I purchased this.
