Used this to make chocolate airplane pops for a birthday party. Came out great, easy to use, easy to unmold.

This mold is not sturdy at all. It is very soft and flimsy. It doesn’t really have a structure, which made it difficult to use.

The IKOJING Airplane Fondant Silicone Mold, DIY Chocolate Cake Decorating Mold arrived promptly and was just as described. The Silicone Mold contains 2 each of 3 different types of planes. Silicone is durable, 100% Food Grade Safe, BPA Free and Non-Toxic.I am going to use the mold to form planes from melted chocolate (and later ice planes). It’s important to place the flexible silicone mold on a sturdy flat tray before pouring the melted chocolate. Allow sufficient time for the chocolate to harden before releasing the planes from the mold.After hardening, two chocolate planes will be suspended on bamboo skewers above the “landing field” on a 9” x 13” cake with (icing) lanes. The third plane will be “taking off” in the opposite direction, propped up in front by a toothpick. The fourth plane will be flying in the same direction as #3, propped up by a longer skewer. Two planes will be parked in the taxi way. “Control tower” is a marshmallow propped up on 4 skewers.Photos of the cake will follow! Adorable airplane silicone mold with many uses. I’m no cook but I am a pilot – and this mold is terrific for Candy Melts (a Wilton product), chocolate (if done with a candy thermometer and precision), Jello Jigglers, fondant, fudge, and so much more (including soap).I was initially concerned and "held short" because the silicone seemed so thin -- but this was a non-issue. No external support was needed other than placing the mold on a cookie tray. All compartments filled fully and evenly, then unmolded easily. Even wings and multi-engine protrusions came out intact. I was amazed at how well this mold worked.For best results, do a "pre-flight" and research the complexities of melting & tempering chocolate – and why Wilton’s Candy Melts are easier, plus hold their shape at room temperature.The silicone is food-grade safe, and won't crash in the hottest dishwasher.Ice aircraft melted QUICKLY because of the shallow depth, and probably won't last more than 1-2” in even the most iced-up punchbowl. (That said, combining them with dry ice "fog" is a tempting idea). I will primarily be utilizing this mold for Jello Jigglers and Candy Melts (Wilton) instead. (See photos. Spoon for size comparison).This mold isn’t only for children’s celebrations. Anything made with it is certain to soar at our next hangar party or 99s/Women in Aviation event. This delightful mold is cleared for take-off!

Maybe is good for chocolate but for fondant for sure is not. Vary disappointed with this purchase.
