BETTER than expected-MONEY'S WORTH & MORE-read on.....
Based on the mixed reviews I was worried about ordering this sheet set but REALLY WANTED TO, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE & because I once bought a Satin comforter for about $20 at Big Lots that I thought would be "shabby" but I've had it for years & I LOVE IT, I personally love cool bedding, I don't like to be hot when I sleep. I also have heard that satin or silk pillowcases are better for your skin/prevent wrinkles & all that. So, based on the reviews-people complained of the sheets "running small" & "bleeding colors", I chose the GOLD-Royal Opulence, in a size KING, when I have a Queen size bed. I assumed they would shrink drastically as others had complained & I didn't want to have to "line dry" them. I'm glad I ordered when I did (right before Christmas as I see they have gone up in price for King Size-they were $18.99 when I bought them).I immediately washed them by themselves with detergent & fabric softener & put them in the dryer set on high, expecting major shrinkage, because at the size they were(I held them above my mattress before washing to see how BIG they were and they were HUGE so the sizing seemed right). Anyway, they are still pretty HUGE, they did not shrink as I expected so I probably could have went with the Queen Size but I listened to others, maybe it was the colors they bought-maybe those were defective in size, but my sizing was right on and didn't really shrink as far as I can tell so what I have to do is really tuck in the edges really good as I have all this EXTRA SHEET instead of a FITTED fit. But maybe this is an added benefit as my sheets are not coming all untucked as often as others are complaining. First of all, that is expected with any satiny/silky sheets, they are smooth and will come untucked especially if you move around a lot on the bed, but mine have so far only come untucked on my husbands side ONCE in a few weeks now, so I guess we don't slide around as much. As far as pillows & comforters sliding off, well first off, I don't use the top sheet right now, I might use it in the summer but for now I have no use for it, so I just have my fitted sheet, then I have a down comforter, I have 4 pillows on the bed, two have the King satin pillowcases (also made me very happy as I HAD THESE TWO KING DOWN PILLOWS and none of my pillowcases fit them so just getting to use my down filled pillows with satin cases is A TREAT IN ITSELF.Yes, the pillow slides off sometimes, but sometimes that happened with my regular sheet sets as well, same goes for the comforter, I have NEVER had it slide off if the bed is made, and I have yet to have it slide off me on a cold night (it is Winter here and I am snuggled under my comforter but cooled by my sheets), the only thing I notice is that if the bed is NOT MADE, sometimes I find the comforter on the floor and I think that might be my dog jumping up on the bed (he's not supposed to) and he probably caused it to slide down, BIG DEAL-that's only when the comforter is rolled up in a ball at the end of the bed, if the bed is made, nothing is sliding off for me. I have had NO ISSUES WITH "COLORS RUNNING" as people complained, I think those people ordered red or black and did not wash prior to using, and just like when you buy dark jeans, if you don't wash prior to wearing-they even SAY ON THE LABEL-the color may bleed-so don't sit on white couches or anything, I'm sure some of you know what I am talking about. I am SO SATISFIED that I already ordered an additional set for my sons bed. Oh, ONE DRAWBACK-but I knew this AHEAD OF TIME and so should you-YOU CANNOT HAVE HANGNAILS, rough cuticles, feet, etc as it will cause pulling on the satin sheets and snag the fibers. I gave my husband A BIG SPEECH ABOUT THIS & then the first night I got into bed I had a raggedy cuticle/hangnail& scraped about an inch across-I WAS SO MAD but it was my own fault, so you do need to handle with care, make sure your nails are filed, not raggedy or rough and if you have rough feet-wear socks otherwise your sheets will get torn up, I've also had this happen to that comforter I mentioned earlier, yet I still use it all the time, it just doesn't look as nice, now that it has some little scrapes in some areas, pulls & the like and they are un-fixable as far as I can tell, Luckily nobody will see it but me, and it's small where I did it.Oh, so my son already stole one of my pillows for the satiny pillowcase & that's why I am ordering him his own set, I chose the zebra design for his bed, I hope it is as good as the Gold, I would have ordered him the Gold but kind of odd to have the same exact sheets as your parents? So, I hope the people who complained about the zebra sets were WRONG. He has a twin size mattress but it has a pillow top built in and I've found that his twin sheets barely fit, if they even do and started using Full size sheets for his bed anyway, they fit a little big so extra tucking is needed but better than being TOO TIGHT and then having them pull out when he is sleeping, so I ordered him the FULL SIZE, thinking "maybe they will shrink a little as others "complain" that they do, and then they will fit perfect. Hey, for less than $20 to get satin sheets, a fitted & regular & two pillowcases, how can you complain? Has anyone had experience with silk? I actually prefer satin to silk after spending 5 times the amount on silk pajamas as I did on Satin Pajamas only to wash once and have them shrink & wrinkle up SO BAD, what am I supposed to dry clean my pajamas? They look like garbage compared to the satin ones that cost 5 times less, so why bother? I don't need things that I have to get dry cleaned or take extra time to take care of, wash, dry, use, that's what I like and satin feels good to ME. THIS IS A REAL LONG REVIEW, I HOPE IT HELPS SOME OF YOU OUT.

Beautiful and feel wonderful!
I LOVE satin anything. Satin jammas, comforter, sheets, whatever. I always have. Having a king sized bed, it was really nice to be able to find affordable satin sheets that fit.My responses to the most common complaints:1- Of course they slide! They're satin! I previously had silk, and initially had the same problems with my silk set, until it had been washed many times. Try putting the satin sides of the sheets facing each other, and tucking the bottom half of the top sheet in really well. That will help keep the comforter from sliding off, and you get the added benefit of satin touching your skin in both directions! I am lucky in that I don't have to worry about the pillows sliding off too much, as the head of my bed is in an alcove, and my husband and I have used separate sheets and blankets from day one - we both are blanket hogs.2- Yes, they will snag and pile if you have rough hands or feet. So will silk, at least the prior silk sheets I had did. I also have restless legs, and managed to wear holes in both my silk and flannel sheets, so I figure I'm going to have to replace my sheets pretty often anyway.3- They can be hot, or cool, depending on how much heat you put out. They're synthetic, as most satin is nowadays. I don't know why, but I've noticed that some synthetic fabrics are either too hot or too cold for different people depending on how they handle hot and cold.4- Wash them before you use them. I got the black, gold, red, and burgundy sets, washed them in cold with Woolite and fabric softener, and haven't seen any staining. The colors are nice and vivid, which is great since my bedroom is burgundy and gold, and the contrast is very pleasing when you mix and match the color sets (i.e. gold comforter set with burgundy sheet set). So, a few tips to make sure they are worth it - wash first and treat them like they're delicate (this will soften them up too), put satin-side to satin-side on the sheets, wear socks/gloves or make sure your feet/hands are smooth (or accept that you are going to tear up the sheets eventually), and realize that synthetic materials do not handle body heat like cotton before you decide to buy them.Personally, I've used these (well, the top sheet, the pillow cases, and the comforter) for a couple of weeks now, and it's already worth the price of the full sheet set to me. (I'm thinking about getting more sets to make nightgowns out of, as the sheets are cheaper than the fabric would be). The colors are wonderful, they feel wonderful on my skin, and I love the way the fabric moves like water.

Not the “Gold” I was expecting
The advertisement showed a more traditional gold color than what I received. I’d say this is more cantaloupe or apricot. As a standalone gold addition to a room, it could work. But it doesn’t match any of the gold in the room it’s going in. Probably going to return it and find something that matches.

Feels nice... when it stays in place, which is Never
Bought these sheets months ago. I also have some polyester satin pajamas, so tossing and turning (a problem of mine) is actually FUN on these sheets. They are very slippery, which some reviewers understandably find bothersome, but I find it to be entertaining. They also stay fairly cool throughout the night, which is a plus because I tend to spike in body temp when asleep.Very big negative is that they will not stay on the bed. I have a deep-ish mattress, so I was relieved to see that these sheets had deep pockets. But, if you toss and turn like me, you will be rearranging the bed-sheets every morning. The fitted sheet comes loose from at least one corner each night. The flat sheet will slide right off the bed, taking the comforter with it. I thought it was my fault since my bed-clothes didn't provide enough friction to keep them from sliding around. Even after switching to cotton jammies, the problem persists.Overall, they feel great (to me), but the annoyance of fighting and straightening the sheets everyday brings them down to 3 out of 5 stars.
