This thing is awesome. The voltage is a little touchy, but once you get it set it's fine.I love all of the adapters that are included, and the polarity reverser is handy as can be.I measured the voltage with a Fluke meter, and it was within .05 volts. I also dialed it to 18 Volts and then connected it to a variable speed fan...I measured the wattage of the draw and at high speed it was drawing about 65 watts...it was stable.

This power supply has been reliable for many pieces of electronics for me to test with. The Voltage tends to drift up slightly when it's used for a while, but only on the order of .1 to .2V. My unit does not get very hot, is not noisy (no audible sounds). The size is nice: some may not like that this is of the style with a box in the middle of the cable, but this does mean it doesn't take up a large space on a power strip or outlet to block other available ports.

Okay, this is tough. It does work as expected.The main observations are that (a) the knob is VERY easy to turn and knock, (b) the adjustment is continuous and not in steps like (3, 4.5, 6, 7.5 volts) and (c) reaches the maximum voltage at like the 3/4 point making it more sensitive to adjust in the lower ranges.The result is that it is rather finicky to set and must be left alone to avoid changing the voltage.So, it works but the knob brings practical usability into question, hence the loss of a star.BT recommends with practical reservations

I love this thing! I frequently repair friends' laptops & this works with every different brand & type I've run across. Easily adjustable voltage & simple to switch out plugs.

Using this thing to charge up all the old stuff lying around. Shavers, small drills etc. look at the item and see what it takes, positive, negative, power, very simple. Got things working that haven’t worked in years. Every connection needed. Awesome

This power supply is continuously adjustable from 0 to 24V. It comes with an assortment of power adapters to match most devices. This being, the voltage must be adjusted to the proper level. The power supply has a built in DVM.

Used this PS to run a DC Motor. When I found it was turning in the wrong direction, I used the "Polarity changing cable". No help. I checked for power "Good". De-soldered the motor and tested with my Bench Power Supply and... changing the leads changed the direction! I thought I was loosing my mind. I Forgot a basic troubleshooting aid... "CHECK YOUR TEST EQUIPMENT!!!". I checked continuity through the "Polarity changing cable" and SURPRISE, it's a straight through cable!! Basically a 6 inch extension. I bought 2 and checked the other... same result. Power supplies work as expected. Find another method to change the polarity!
