Surprisingly good but not good enough for cold weather...
Update 1/8/2019Unfortunately the low price effect of this multimeter showed up during the past couple of months. We have had cold weather, some times sub zero and the LCD screen of this multimeter is barely readable and slowly changes from digit to digit. I noticed that a couple of months ago while the ambient temperature in my garage was about 35 degrees and I thought that either it is too cold or the batteries are dying. I needed to use it today while I was modifying a device and the ambient temperature was 45 degrees but the screen had the same issue. I changed the original batteries with fresh ones made by a reputable manufacturer but it did not make a difference. This may be a problem to you if you store your tools in cold environment like your garage or your vehicle so I figured it would be good to update my review. I lowered the rating to 3 stars because temperatures between 30 and 45 degrees never affected my other multimeters nor the old LCD screens in my car radios over the years. Still a good multimeter to use if you are not going to store it in cold environment.Original review:Sometimes, you don't need the high end instruments and you don't want to spend much on a tool so you expect that quality will suffer but then you receive the tool and you can't believe that you got so much for so little. This was one of these times for me as I already have expensive multimeters that I can depend on when needed but it is a hustle to take them out of their case, put the leads on and then put them away just to check the voltage of an AA battery. So I decided to get a multimeter that I do not care about "breaking" so I can leave it permanently on my workbench. This meant that I was not willing to pay for a bench-top multimeter and I found this one on Amazon. I figured, for under $20.00 it will be horrible but it will do for batteries and continuity testing. I was in for a surprise because it is of much better quality than I expected. Some things you may want to know:1) It has an "Auto Shut Off" feature and it will beep when idle for 14 minutes 45 seconds then beep once more and shut off at 15 minutes. To turn it back on, either move the switch to off and then back to the desired selection or press one of the function buttons.2) It has a continuity beeper but you will need to press one of the buttons to activate it and it will not remember that after it is shut off.3) It has a wall mounting option with a single screw on the back.4) It has a stand that is surprisingly sturdy and moving the leads around while it is standing does not cause it to fall over.5) The lead cables are not of good quality and they are fairly stiff for tester leads. I expect that they will be even more annoyingly stiff if they are left in cold temperatures. In my case, I had better quality leads and I replaced them. Having said that, I cannot bring myself to lowering the rating because for the price this is a great multimeter. If you are looking for an inexpensive multimeter to throw in your tool bag or just have it on your workbench this is highly recommended and will serve you well.

Great So Far, and Nice Details Included
The last multimeter I received (another brand/seller) was a mess. No more on that. THIS unit, was the exact opposite. Alot of details you could see they thought about on the item that add up, and really make a difference. From what I can see, it's accurate, and has a nice large readout, which helps in high-light situations as well as with bad vision. They included a small Phillips-driver with it, which is nice (not necessary for me, but nice they thought about it). Magnetic-head Phillips. The unit has a little flashlight. The probes plug into the unit for storage. They included the batteries, and when it 'fired-up', ALL of the features worked, and so far as I can tell, it's accurate, including capacitance. NCV works fine. In all, impressed, and no complaints. For the price, they really did a damn good job on this. I'll update with a truly nasty, vicious, review should it fail anytime soon. Seller: Great, Item: Great.

Good value (NCV function inconsistent)
Worth the purchase price of around $20 retail value. Initial impression of the box was a nice design. The unit comes with batteries and suprisingly a screw driver to install the batteries. In grading it at the advertised regular price of over $50 lowered the overall rating. The unit is auto ranging and has a fuse for the amps, but no way to access the fuse if overloaded. The NCV function doesn't read unless a device is plugged into the outlet. Doesn't read a light switch or a live plug that isn't being used. I would say inconsistent and should be double checked. I could activate the feature by tapping the sensor location with my finger or even against a couch cushion. Continuity tester works pretty quickly but there is slight lag when quickly tapping. Also a preferance I would prefer it not having an audible beep for every switch rotation. Also would prefer the continuity tester default with an audible response and not having to select the option.

Tough and accurate
I use it to test guitar and amp components and it works fine and is very sensitive. I have dropped it several times, with no problems that I can tell.I get better results using leads with alligator clips on fine wires in electronics. I only buy things that are highly rated, and that strategy has paid off once again...

Nice Multimeter - Poor test leads
I purchased this meter specifically for the Frequency function so I could set a power generator to the correct line frequency. It did the job perfectly. The test leads are stiff, will not straighten out from being folded and the probes are deformed. I expect test leads to be soft, flexible, always able to lay flat and to have reasonably uniform ends.

Awesome value for the price!!
Outstanding service. Arrived early and great packaging. The meter is very well constructed and has a large display. Out of the box it works well and a accuracy seems good when testing with known components. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the absence of clip-on leads which would make this a perfect value.

Not as accurate for resistance as the DM08 I bought before
I took off a star because the resistance setting will not go below 0.5 Ohms. Whereas the year old DM08 I have will actually zero out and is very accurate compared to my other instruments. I have yet to check the mA and mV scales so I will update if need be.

Awesome Multimeter!
I bought this multimeter two days ago. My initial plan was to try to use this multimeter to detect my remote control for my Samsung TV. I never used this kind of multimeter before but with the detailed user manual I was able to use it with ease. It is a very good multimeter and easy to use. Highly recommend. Also comes with a LED light!

Good price, Good features Multimeter
My old multimeter was not giving me an accurate reading when I was doing some electronic project, so I look for a replacement perhaps with more features. This Tracklife DM-09 Digital Multimeter is feature riched, and very affordable. The DM-09 Multimeter comes with the main unit, a pair of a good quality probe, warranty card, user manual and 3x AAA batteries. The main unit is made of hard plastic and covered by a second layer soft plastic protective case. It is a robust design and the soft protection can provide extra shock protection. The multimeter is small size unit with a big LCD screen, it has a built-in backlight for operating in dark environment. All buttons and function label print in bright orange color which is easy to see. The meter has a back stand so it can operate in an easy to read angle. The 2 probes in Orange and Black color match with the unit buttons nicely, probe wire also thicker than the one comes with my old unit. The new multimeter comes with a lot of testing features. From DM-09 I can find all the features from my old unit, plus the extra features include Capacitance, Frequency, Duty Cycle, NVC (Non-Contact Voltage), circuit continuity buzzer. It even has a built-in LED as touch function handy. The meter has protection circuit to prevent overload by accident. Self-power off in 15 mins without activity. I am happy with my new tester!

Replace fuses? Very stiff leads.
I have one big beef right off the bat. The instructions, While this item is fused there seems to be no easy way to replace the fuses. The instruction booklet says nothing about it, even the cheapest meters I've bought in the past would have this information. Other than that it seems to be well made, the leads are really stiff, but I have other leads I can use. I keep meaning to buy a proper Fluke meter but I can go through a lot of these for the difference in price.

Like that it uses AAA batteries
Works well. Not sure if accurate since I have no other multimeter to compare it with. Like that it uses AAA batteries, cheaper to replace than 9V batteries.
