One of the standout features is its waterproof resistance—I’ve driven through heavy rain, and it’s performed flawlessly without any issues.The image quality is also excellent, clear and sharp both during the day and at night. It gives a wide-angle view that really helps with reversing and parking.I also appreciated the sturdy mounting bracket that made installation a breeze. It attached securely to my license plate without any extra drilling or hassle.Another big plus is the super long wiring harness, which made routing the cables through the car incredibly easy. There was plenty of length to reach from the back of my SUV to the dashboard, with room to spare.Overall, this is a high-quality camera at a great price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle’s safety features.

to put it blunt, it was easy to install and get workingthe camera provides a pretty wide view and was easily mounted on the license platejust follow the instructions in connecting the cables, its that easy.its also really bright at night so seeing isn't an issue.

The camera seems solid and reasonably well built; my picture is very clear both day and night; no issues with water penetration; cable was long and included the reverse trigger wire; color rendition is very good; installation on the license plate was a snap. I had only one issue...I needed to remove the camera instilled guide lines so I could use the adjustable lines my lcd screen provided. Typically, the way this is done is, there will be a couple of thin wires exposed from the wire loom that are cut by the installer to deactivate a few built in camera functions. Most typically, the green wire is cut to remove guidelines and a white wire is cut to stop the mirroring function, in case you want to use the camera in a position other than the back of the car. Not all cameras offer this deactivation capability so it is nice that this one does BUT...I could find no official documentation on-line from the manufacturer that stated which color wire needed to be cut...I did see some comments on Amazon that said cutting the green wire would remove the guidelines ...and this is the convention most manufacturers follow as well. I wrote an e-mail to the manufacturer in both English and Chinese to confirm this and never received a response. I noted that Amazon also provided product support for this item and I contacted there product specialist...he was able to provide me a link to a detailed write-up on this subject created by the manufacturer which was excellent....unfortunately, it was completely wrong. In my case, I had to cut the WHITE wire to remove the guidelines and the GREEN wire removes the mirror function...this is completely opposite their official instructions provided to me by Amazon, contrary to the posts I found on-line by other buyers, and also opposite the standard industry convention...caused me to have to repair one erroneously cut wire and and go back and redo part of the installation in the trunk to reverse the wires I cut ...not a big deal but a pain.....makes me wonder about their quality control if they can actually assemble the wire loom incorrectly at the factory and not detect that....but despite the unusual wiring convention, I have the camera functioning well now with no on-going issues. One additional point, I really do like the field of view of this camera...the 149 degrees gives wide enough coverage to see well out the back of the car but not so ultra wide that it creates distortion...I find the 170 degree cameras create a distorted field of view (think fish-eye lens effect for those familiar with photography) that makes seeing clearly how close you really are to something difficult....sort of like the passenger side outside mirrors that carry the phrase "warning: objects are closer than they may look"...the ultra wide angle 170 degree cameras actually make things look farther away than they truly are...this 149 degree field of view seems more accurate from a depth perspective standpoint to me.

Bought this camera and, admitedly, didn't read the entire description. I wanted a camera that I could view whenever I wanted to. My stereo allows me to view the rear camera at the push of a button and this works, HOWEVER, the LEDs come on any time the camera is active (powered). This is CLEARLY stated in the description again, that I didn't read. My own fault. The camera was great in that it actually plugged straight into by existing plug and the video was fantastic. Just didn't want to drive around with the LEDs on whenever I wanted to check on a trailer or something. I'll keep the camera and still give it five stars but will give it to a friend who may have a need for it.

I originally bought the Erapta backup camera and it worked great—clear image, easy install, and reliable performance. After a while, the first unit stopped working. Bought one last year and it worked for nearly a year before crapping out (would randomly get black screen sometimes until it stopped working completely). Bought a replacement for it recently that was DOA (lights on camera function fine, but camera itself is not sending a signal to the HU). Tried everything under the sun to make it work to no avail. Looking into other options instead.

Works great. Looks just about the same as factory backup cameras. Easy enough install if you have experience automotive audio. Connected to my aftermarket jvc touchscreen. Makes hooking up rv travel trailer much easier when doing it without help. Nice clear FOV and guidelines are pretty accurate.
