High Quality, Perfect Size, Holds Lots
Update July 2, 2025 Still 5 stars great, see more below:This review is for the navy bag (not the one that is quilted.) Great piece of luggage. Fits anywhere. Holds much more than expected. This thing is like Doctor Who's TARDIS; I don't know where my stuff is going but it seems to be limitless on the inside. So far this little suitcase exceeds all expectations. It looks great, has strong handles, the fabric is tough as nails, the zippers are strong and work smoothly, and the bag always has somewhere to put that little something more that you forgot to pack in. The telescoping handle works flawlessly, as do the in-line wheels. Rolls easily. The strap for stacking on other luggage makes this even more practical than my backpack in many ways as there is no more losing things in all those backpack pockets! I really love this bag and don't know why I waited so long to get one. The suitcase has already been on city streets, in trains, planes, buses, cars, and still looks brand new so I am encouraged to hope it will last a while. The shade of navy is pleasing. I recommended this bag highly to friends and would buy it again.Update July 2, 2025: I regularly use this bag and since my original review it has continued to be my go to on planes trains and buses and city streets. Has become my primary weekender. Wheels zippers and telescoping handle all work fine. Before first use I did spray the entire bag with two coats of water repellant so that y have something to do with how it is holding up. I read the bad reviews and wonder if there are manufacturing quality inconsistencies and I just got lucky? Or maybe some over-stuff the outer pockets (which really do not appear to be made to hold too much)? I only use the outer pockets for things needed during travel like passport & documents, ear plugs, tissues, cables I'm going to use on board for my phone or earbuds for carriers that only have plug-in jacks. The main compartment, however, is incredibly accommodating. If I remove the included hanging toiletry bag that Velcro's to the bag's main compartment flap, I get a couple more inches of room and the flap becomes more flexible making it easier to zip the bag without stressing the zippers. I rarely do this but it is a trick that comes in handy when I want to put in bulky items. For a short getaway I can fit a CPAP machine with mask & hose, a pair of flip-flops, a bathing suit, underwear, socks, shorts, Anker Bluetooth speaker, an Anker Soundcore Space folding headphone, chargers, cables, external phone battery, Kindle reader, travel electric toothbrush with case, toiletries, & medications. I don't bother with compression bags, I find it better to just load the main compartment like a moving truck taking up every inch like a game of Tetris. The large flap on the main compartment zips wide open & lets you get to every part of the interior so I usually just live out of the bag. I love this bag and when it goes on sale I say jump on it!

Excellent product
I bought this a month ago. I waited to review after I had used it. This was my only personal item I took to my trip across five flights. I was able to fit 5 summer outfits, flip flops, two pj sets, toiletries, electric toothbrush comfortably. It is very easy to roll around the airports and fits perfectly under airline seat. I am so in love with this that I am not sure if I ever go back to traditional carry on bags. I convinced everyone on my trip to look into it- I love Amazon Basic line of products as I get quality products for a fraction of the price. Amazon, please keep it up.

Great bag for a quick trip
Great bag for a quick trip. It fit 3 days of outfits , including a sweatshirt and pair of shoes, plus a few extras just in case, the carry-on liquids bag, a small cosmetic bag, charger, a few books, and some small accessories and zipped shut with no problem. It rolled fine throughout the airport and it was pretty easy to manipulate the handle, although it did get stuck a time or two when it wiggled and one of the little tabs came through the hole when it wasn't supposed to. The handle is a bit wobbly and not my favorite part, but I think the bag is still a great value. It fit fine under all the seats I tried it with -- the only thing is that on some of the smaller planes, it was a little difficult to get it out from under the seat while seated, just because there wasn't much room between myself and the seat in front of me. Overall, I really liked this bag and would take it again for a short trip.

Similar to a Samsonite except different wheels - better pricing, made well
Very similar to a Samsonite style except this one does not have spinning wheels. The wheels go in one direction but the price is also lower. Made well. Barely fits under the plane seat. Light enough to lift in the plane overhead compartment.

Great bag. But... Know your needs
Note: I don't normally write 'day one / delivery day' reviews because they don't represent real world experience. I am going to make an exception because this is important. (Basic review towards the bottom)Know your needs.I bought this one because pricing on roller bags that also have the word 'laptop' in their name/ description command a high price regardless of how poor their quality is. So, why not get a rolling bag and just put your laptop in that?I already own a solid laptop sleeve for my laptop, which is only 13 inches wide. It adds another half inch to each side, so it is not some 17-inch behemoth.I bought this to replace a nice backpack I use in my daily commute that was aggravating my back issues. However, I pack a lot of things in it beyond my laptop. Including a soft side lunch box.And there is my conundrum. I did not think that part through. This bag is much smaller than you might think. It has several pockets for little things like a thin power bank, or maybe a tooth brush and paste. But when I transferred all my items from the backpack to it, it filled out quickly. Now it is so full that it is hard to zip closed. That is not a good thing for a 'daily driver'. So, I really need to rethink my needs.Know your needs.-----------------------Now, a basic review:Stitching: every seam looks to be stitched. There appears to be no glued up short cuts.Shell: ballistic nylon. It will fray if it gets cut or ground up on abrasive surfaces like curbs. That is just a natural fact of life.Wheels: inline skate style wheels on real bearings. They may lock up from debris someday but may last far longer that some of the higher priced bags with simple plastic wheels. There really isn't any form of curb protection around the wheels. So, for a commute bag, I must lift it over curbs to prevent rubbing and shell fraying over time.Retracting handle: it has its own zippered space and retracts fully. It has a locking design with a release button. If you are pushing down on it or twisting it while you push the button, it can feel like it is jammed, but it is not. The aluminum used in the handle does not feel thin or cheap. The bag also has nylon strap handles with a cloth wrap at the top, so no fake leather to crack over the years.Zippers: They have a pretty tight spacing with fine teeth. They look like they should last for quite a while. However, if you over stuff it every day, you may overstress the sewn seams holding them in. So, don't do that - on any bag.Pockets: All external pockets are pretty much designed to be used with flat things. The front pocket has a maximum internal space of about an inch zipped up. Side pockets are about the same but project a bit inwards into the main space of the bag for a little more room.Ground clearance: about half an inch or less. There are rounds pads on the front bottom which feel solid. No silly plastic legs to break off like many other brands. So, like a lot of other Amazon Basics products, it's a pretty good product at a reasonable price. Worth the cost when you need something but don't want to commit to an unexpectedly high price tag.Final thoughts: This is not a laptop bag. It is an overnight bag for your clothes and small items. It should fit in most under seat positions on a commercial airline plane. It will fit in an overhead bin.So, too small for my daily needs. That is my fault for not understanding my real needs. I won't be returning it. Why pay a restocking fee? There is nothing wrong with it. So, I'll keep it around for any overnight trips. My wife may use it more than I will for that need.If you know your real needs, then this is a great bag at a fair price.
