Fantastic earphones for the price, nice looking, lightweight, easy fit, really comfortable, plenty of cable, nicely made, nice sound from them. Faultless really. !!!

Wow...thumbs up!
I'm no audiophile, but I think these headphones are excellent, especially considering the low price. Highs and lows are all there, but definitely slightly bass-weighted and the bass can get fuzzy if cranked up. Generally though, great for music or spoken word. The fit is near perfect for me and they are comfortable. At first I thought they were crackling, but that was just the ear-cup material settling and it soon stopped. There is no hiss at all. I do like to stay aware of my surroundings, so I was actually a little disappointed that the ear cups are so well insulated. I won't hear the front doorbell, but at least I won't disturb anybody else. They look fine, and have a neat folding mechanism. On the negative side, the cable length is too short for PC use at a keyboard so I have to use an extension -but most headphones have cables that are too short, presumably to save themselves a few pence. At least these wires do seem kink-resistant. Even if the headphones don't last long, I will probably buy them again! I bought the L LTGem hard case to keep them in and that is a perfect match.

Simple good inexpensive headphones
Usual good Sony sound reproduction, slightly weighted towards bass. Got these for my synthesiser and they're a great pairing. These are lightweight over-the-head headphones. The padding is comfortable. The headband adjusts in a very simple manner and will cater for older children and adults even with larger heads (I'm hat size seven-and-three-quarters and it fits me just fine with room to spare). They don't block out a great deal of outside noise, so you can still carry out a conversation with other people in the room so long as you don't have anything too loud. The cable is only 1.5 metres / 5 feet and terminates with a standard 3.5mm audio jack. There is no volume control and no noise cancelling on this model MDR-ZX110 but there are other variants that do feature such. The cable is quite thick and I would think the cable would be very hard-wearing, it's not going to tangle, snag nor get caught on anything, but where the cable goes in to the phones on each side, there is no strain relief so I would imagine it would fail there.Audio quality is good for the price. There's a slight bias towards bass with a bit of loss of the top end, but even so these are not going to deafen you with low-end basslines. Classical, pop, rock and electronica all sound fine. At a smidge over twelve quid this is never going to be audiophile quality, but it is well above the other no-name or fashion brands like JBL or Gummy or the usual stuff you find in B&M, Home Bargains etc. Sony have always been a good trade-off between sound quality and price in my experience. If you want to spend three times the price or more, you will definitely find better - no surprises there. In terms of build quality, it's not that great to be honest. Although the cable is thick and sturdy, the headset itself is made from thin brittle plastic. I'm really not sure why they made it foldable; sure, it folds flat, but really, this is not going to withstand any kind of abuse from travel. I certainly wouldn't expect it to survive a couple of trips in a backpack. These are very much "stay at home" headphones.Comfortable. Light. Good sound for the price. If you want a pair of nice sounding headphones, don't want to spend much money and don't need them to stand up to much abuse, these are a great buy.

Value for money
Got them for sound checks of a podcast they are durable enough to go in the mixer bag, good sound not the best but for the price they are very good and clear. Long enough cable for what I need only thing I needed was a adapter for my mix desk

They're okay- you get what you pay for
I ordered these headphones after getting sick of using only my earbuds for over a year. I was hoping for something more comfortable and better for my hearing but didn't want to spend loads on the more expensive models so bought these encouraged by the good reviews.I have to say that they are extremely comfortable to wear- lightweight and soft on the ears. They aren't noise cancelling at all but I'm personally not bothered by this as I prefer to be aware of my surroundings. Plus they don't leak sound so other people aren't disturbed by what you're listening to either.Sound quality wise, they're not bad at all but they're not amazing either. Good for how little they cost but very quiet and difficult to hear the finer details in the music. The bass is, arguably, a tad bit exaggerated too. For music listening, I honestly have to say that my earbuds do a better job! I'm not an expert in sound quality or music production by any means and I have no professional need for headphones that are amazing so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But I do love my music a lot and it's my favourite pastime. The good news is that you can turn the music as loud as you can and it doesn't sound grainy or distorted at any point. The cable is nice and sturdy- not flimsy so I feel better that it probably won't become frayed or break down in a hurry. I like the fact that they are foldable too as it makes storage much easier!Overall, they're okay-very practical. If you're looking for headphones that don't cost an arm and a leg and do a decent job then these are definitely for you. Although the next time I purchase headphones, I will definitely go for a pair with a higher sound quality.
