SummitLink Flex Ribbon Cable for Phantom 3 Standard Gimbal Camera Replacement

The cable was literally top shelf. Very well made there was no discernible difference at all between this and the one that I removed. However, my inability to install it correctly most definitely rendered my drone grounded. I take stuff apart all the time: cell phones, iPhones and all types of electronics and whatnot and this was hands-down the most challenging thing I have ever taken apart. Despite whatever internet blog or podcast you heard otherwise from, this is a challenging repair and definitely not recommended to tackle on your own. Even more so if you've never cracked open your drone before. There are places in towns that will fix it that are not DJI and won't cost you an arm and a leg. But save yourself the aggravation and the downtime and just convince yourself you can't do it because I was 1000% certain that I could and... no. That was very much not the case. This ribbon cable fixed my camera but it did not fix my gimbal as it is still non functional. The ribbon cable used like this in a Phantom Drone should fix both camera and gimbal. It also did not fit perfectly and it was tugging when the drone camera moved.

This is the second “cheap” flex cable I purchased to repair the camera on my drone and neither one of them worked. After installing it I had no gimbal function at all. I purchased a factory flex cable and it worked just fine. Don’t buy the cheap flex cables, save time and money and buy a factory one.

This item was exactly what I was expecting to be.
