Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, 473ml

This is a pint (American) bottle of apple cider vinegar from the Bragg's brand. It is an unfiltered, unpasteurised product that is heavily laden with mother-of-vinegar. This is a very useful starter-culture for making your own vinegars, which is why I procured it. It can also be used in making dressings for salads etc - the mother-of-vinegar is harmless and if you don't like the texture, you can strain it out, though it will re-grow over time. This product has an excellent, fresh apple flavour, and a LOT of acidity - it's very sharp indeed! It can be used to make a refreshing drink by diluting it about 1:10 in cold water and adding a touch of honey, sugar or agave syrup to sweeten it - but don't drink it any stronger as it's not very palatable. Some people drink it neat thinking there are health benefits but there have been a number of cases of major damage to the esophagus so it is to be avoided! There is so much absurd hype about apple cider vinegar... To be very clear about what this product actually is, it's nothing magical or miraculous - it's apple juice that has been fermented using yeasts to make ethanol (alcohol) and then fermented further using bacteria from the genus Acetobacter to make acetic acid - this results in something that still tastes a bit like applejuice, but is very acidic - this is no different from any other kind of vinegar really - wine vinegars, malt vinegars, apple vinegars, they're all made the same way and contain the same bacteria, more or less. What is different in this specific product is that the mother-of-vinegar is left intact - that is to say, a leathery membrane or veil made of bacterial cellulose and Acetobacter cells. It is usually removed by filtration but you can it in old half-used bottles of malt vinegar quite frequently. It's harmless, but it's also not magical as some would have it. It's just cellulose and bacteria. The theory amongst some goes that consuming apple cider vinegar, specifically the mother-of-vinegar therein, can act as a probiotic, improving gut health, can aid weight loss or can even help manage diabetes - dangerous claims, of course, and mostly used to peddle products to the vulnerable and desperate - it's not a panacea, it's not miraculous and it's not worth the risk of messing with diabetes management plans, for example. To date ZERO clinical trials can back up these folk-medicine uses. Sure, you'll see a few people with anecdotal claims but that is all that they are.

Excellent product. As expected, packaged very well and secure. Well priced for 6 bottles at under £50. Been having this stuff for a few years now on an empty stomach with chia seeds and black seeds mixed in water. Normally have 2-3 table spoons. Since i started, I haven’t put on any weight and I certainly am not getting younger nor am I watching what i eat! In case you’re interested, i soak 2 table spoons of chia seeds in water overnight in a glass bottle, then in the morning i’ll add 2 tea spoons of black seeds (Nigella sativa), then i’ll mix in the ACV (2-3 table spoons). Give it a mix and have it on an empty stomach. I normally don’t least eat for at 30 mins after i have this to allow the body to process it.

I have always used ACV as a health and hair tonic albeit irregularly. Since Jan '25 I've started using it daily... and it helps curb my appetite, keeps me regular and killed my bloat. I switched to Braggs because it's organic, clearly has the 'mother' and has less calories than my previous brand. I found it easier to ingest and will definitely stick to this choice. Yes it had worked wonders and i am meeting my weight loss goals.

I'm not sure looking at some of the reviews claiming its helped with their digestion and skin as this is probably a bit far fetch and others saying it helps regulate their bodies acid levels. Many people drink this daily for blood sugar control, weight loss, etc. Also looking into this, no research confirms that it is safe to use in the long-term and whether it helps with any of these things. For some people, apple cider vinegar makes heartburn worse and if you have an irritated food pipe may experience further burning and irritation after drinking. For me personally, it did give me acid reflux, and I did dilute this well before drinking it. Just please don't believe everything you read online, I used to do this but just take every review with a pinch of salt. No it didn't make me lose weight, or cure my acne as some reviewers have claimed. It didn't really change anything if I'm honest, and most of the reviews could just be the placebo affect. I wouldn't rush out to buy it again as I don't see anything different with just having a glass of water. A healthy diet, combined with this would possibly help but I personally don't thing this is worth spending money on.

Great product. This vinegar is like any vinegar, it does have a sour taste and a sour odor. But when i add two table spoons of Bragg's vinegar, morning and evening, to about 4 oz of water and about 4 oz of Pomegranate juice the taste becomes delectable. It is almost like having a glass wine with a little sour touch. I love it. But here is the best part yet. When I was at the doctor's office just before I started drinking this delectable juice, the nurse insisted on weighing me, which I did not mind. But here is the point, within one week after I started drinking this delectable juice, I literally lost 3 pounds of weight without even trying, or intending to lose weight. Since I started drinking this juice, I lost a real desire to eat. Whenever my wife would suggest eating I would just tell her that I was not hungry. But today was different. I had declared a day of no juice, just because I wanted to be different, but by the end of the day i had eaten everything that was chewable, or drinkable. I immediately realized why I had lost the 3 pounds of weight in 1 week. It was confirmed to me that drinking this juice was definitely suppresssing my appetite, with absolutely no intention of drinking this drink for this purpose. But I am drinking the Bragg's vinegar for health reasons for sure, like cholesterol and HBP etc, and the loss of appetite is just a bonus. Furthermore, the seller is one of the best customer friendly on the web, and that is very important to me, and I imagine to you as well. Also, the bottles (I bought 3) that I purchased were so well packaged; that if you were to drop a bottle from a second story window it would not break. It is not often that you come across a purchase on the web that has so many positives, to sing its praises. On top of that I have not even mentioned a word about the price, which was the lowest for this product on the internet. So buy Bragg's vinegar, make your own juice just as you like it, drink it and be happy or be happier. But remember happiness does not come from what you drink or eat, but it comes from inside and this drink is just a compliment to your own happiness. .
