Ferroro roches good as always. Good price for big size for gifts and events

My box arrived within days, were great quality, and had a good 8 months left on the expiry date (not that they lasted 8 minutes in this house, but still nice to have the option of keeping them longer!). They were £10 (mid-Dec 2020), but I see that the cheapest is now £13.67, so maybe I got them reduced pre-Christmas or something. Either price is still very cheap compared to the supermarkets.The chocolates themselves are nicely packaged individually, and the hard plastic box makes them ideal for sending through the post as a gift. My only packaging complaint is that it is very difficult to recycle the outer box- the local council does not accept it roadside, and even the local recycling centre said they couldn’t take it. This was disappointing, as it ended up in landfill. The individual chocolates do look very attractive, in their fancy wrapping, but again produce more waste than is strictly necessary (I got some Lily O’Brien’s chocs at the same time and they were in a cardboard box, with no individual wrappings, which seems far more environmentally friendly). However, the wrappers do add a certain “class” to the appearance of them, especially if gifting.Taste-wise, I enjoyed the classic ones and LOVED the Rafaello, however I was not a huge fan of the dark chocolate ones (it was sort of Bourneville-esque dark choc - not a high enough cocoa % to be high quality, rich dark chocolate, but not sweet and creamy enough to be milk chocolate). However, I fully admit this is just down to my personal taste, there was nothing inherently “wrong” with the chocolates.Overall, an attractive, good value box of chocolates, ideal for gifting. Improve the packaging and it’ll be five stars!!
