I did alot of research before buying and settled on this guy as my first metal detector due to its good reputation and decided to drop a few extra bucks to get something really good that i won't need to upgrade in a few months time if i get into it. Lots of functions to suit your hunting style for beginner and veteran hunters alike,The AT stands for all terrain and as i plan on raiding beaches,fields the sea and anywhere else i can get permission for it is nice to know that it will handle whatever i throw at it, It is also waterproof upto about 10 foot so you do not need to worry about rain or spilling pimms on it while you are out detecting which is a nice touch! One should note however that the provided headphones are not waterproof although i believe Garrett do offer these seperately. I would love to add more to this review but those viking coin hoards are not going to find themselves! Very quick Postage, 5 stars. Thanks Garrett!

The Garrett AT Pro is superb. easy to assemble, This is my first detector got it in 2 days after ordering it. took it in my garden within minutes i get a detection dug several inches and found a toy car from 1960s, a few old coins from 1950s and 60s. Thank you Garrett for coming up with a machine that has some power and easy to use. cant wait to seek permissions on farm land. Thank you Amazon for the quick delivery and helpful tracking my order.

What can I say you get what you pay for and as for the AT PRO, what a machine it's an amazing piece of kit, with me living by the sea I have the best of both worlds and have used this detector hundreds of times now. Finds include gold silver and the usual clad and trash ,my previous machine to this was the euro ace which in itself was a good unit however It was not used to the salt water conditions. The AT PRO takes some getting the hang of but once you do you will love it, and there are loads of videos on utube etc on tips for using the AT PRO check out nugget noggin on utube as this is favorite detector.

A nice machine easy to setup but I did not get the camouflage pouch finds bag garret cap or coil cover and the delivery person had the cheek to ask for the £625 I paid by card and the detector was brand new not happy

My 1st MD.. great tool.. I did a lot of research before buying.. They recon it takes 40-50 hours of use to get to understand what you are targeting and get used to it.. I found that I grasped how it worked quite fast and in the 1st 10-15 hours I'd found a lot of trash but also about £40 modern and a couple of Victorian and Georgian coins.. I might have got lucky.. But a great product and highly recommend.. The service that I received was amazing aswell.. I ordered it on a wed and received it next day I was told that estimated delivery would have been the following Monday..

I have just started metal detecting and went on a lot of forums to pick the correct Metal detector. After weeks of deciding i opted for this one. I am not sorry its amazing. Already found £30 in coins on a beach, part of a spitfire and a few bits and pieces which are cool to me. Its worth watching all the YouTube videos you can find on the detector and watching them over and over.

Like taking candy from a baby!! First coin found by the 20th hole dug, A Roman!! First Silver coin within the first three days. Never detected before in my life, this is an awesome machine Absolute five star product for a newb like me.

Bought it for a 50th birthday gift for my son. But had to return it as it had a faulty display pixels missing.

The Garrett AT Pro is one of the best known metal detectors out there and for good reason. It does everything well in my opinion. My last AT Pro was ten years old and finally succumbed to a salt water leak and died on me. Ordered a new one and paid less for it than when I bought my original new. Go figure? Sending the old one in for repairs so I’ll have a refurbished one as a backup. The AT Pro is an amazing underwater detector that is truly amphibious. It’ll go anywhere. Great battery life. Well built. That said, it may not be the best beginners machine. Start with the Garrett Ace line and move from there. The AT Pro has many, many features and in Pro Mode there’s lots of signal tone to memorize. The AT Pro will find buried stuff nicely. There are other brands out there but I have a few Garrett detectors and they have rarely let me down. I’d recommend the AT Pro to any intermediate detectorist who’s serious about putting some hours on the stick to learn the machine.

Ya llevo utilizando el producto y hasta ahorita todo funciona de maravilla. He logrado encontrar muchos objetos. El producto funciona bajo el agua y sin problemas detecta objetos. Espero recuperar lo invertido con los tesoros que quiero comprar.

Great product. Quick shipping time. Works well around water but would recommend still versus the beach as creasing waves offer a lot of disturbance and distraction despite the headphones
